I downloaded it, but I clicked it many times because I didn't know where it was supposed to show up and now I have about 6 in my toolbar and I don't know how to get rid of the other 5. help

Yeah, I did also notice that it can launch multiple times. Perhaps the software can be adjusted to only allow one instance of the program to be active at a time??

0.2.5 is mostly a bug fix release. The only new feature is a check to prevent Avatray from being run more than once.

I had trouble finding hwere the app was on the download pages. Instead loaded some sort of translator program that was mildly predatory. It installed a toolbar in my web browser without permission. The toolbar app was easy to delete, but the main program had a simple block on it that had to be figured out befoe it could be deleted. As a 'parting gift', it changed my default momepage to 'Bing search'.

So bew careful where you click!

Spoiler: Pic of prototype feature

That pic is of a feature I'm considering for 0.3...a desktop news function. This is a prototype currently. It's reading from a (manually HTML-stripped) RSS XML on the hard disk. Clicking on an entry opens it in your browser.

Unfortunately, I'm having some problems developing it further. Specifically:
* Trouble with stripping HTML from the RSS feeds. Basic tags are already being stripped automatically, but tags that take arguments (A, DIV, etc.) are an issue.
* Description handling. Easy to fix once the HTML issue is eliminated.
* No usable information source. This is the big one. I already tried using the News forum RSS, but the way SMF does RSS on an active forum makes it useless for this. Open the spoiler for more...

These are the major issues with the RSS feeds:

• Replies. Not only do I not want to see the replies, the topics bounce around in the list due to them. The "news-style" RSS is supposed to fix this, but its useless since it lists outdated topics.
• Moderation. Moved threads show up as "MOVED: [thread name]" in the feed. People won't want that in their news.
• HTML. Connected to the tag stripping issue above. The board converts BBC into HTML, and that HTML gets sent in the feed. Plain text posts work fine.
  
• Security. There's no way to control what will be displayed, since anyone can start a new topic in News.

Comments on the feature or possible remedies for the RSS problems welcome.

I've downloaded only the newest Version
and only the point to the LN Forum
works, everything else don't  work
there.
My Computer says he can't find
the pdf, I shoul'd try to search it again?!

Schuold I upload all the other Versions, too?

Not easily I'm afraid. The menu library I used isn't very flexible in regards to layout, only color and such. I could implement a "pop-up window" with icon-only buttons that'd appear in place of the menu, but it means a lot of code...

If the news function I had planned for 0.3 goes south (and it's looking like it will at this point...nobody seems interested in it and I haven't had any comments on the prototype...), this would make for a good major feature.

You need to tell it where the PDFs are located. Open the settings, and the 3 fields on the "General" tab need to be set to your PDFs. Click the Browse button and select your PDFs. Do it for all 3 fields. Then press OK.
