Here are the letters V and W

[smg id=6315 type=av]

Edit: And I updated the whole file, now comprising the letters to W in the gallery and the first post of this thread.

Been following the progress and I must say that I'm impressed by how fast you're chugging out these new parts, awesome nì'aw!

However, glancing through the W section, I found a little error, checked it and found the same thing in the T section.
For wrrpa and txìng, the line Txìng ayioangit! Hum ne wrrpa! Tul!, isn't fully translated. Instead of Leave the animals! Get outside! Run!, only the last two phrases are recorded.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the work that goes into this.
It is the reason that Na'vi has bloomed so much and will bloom even more in the years to come.

Been following the progress and I must say that I'm impressed by how fast you're chugging out these new parts, awesome nì'aw!

Well, that’s because I have a greater chunk of work that’s already been ‘processed’ through the LaTeX syntax. If it’s a good example I can use the entry for every word in the sentence. So, I just need to go back to the groundwork of one of the letters and copy and paste it ;) It has its advantages.

Hence this mistake which I am very grateful you pointed out. It’s because I only used a chunk of the example for the tul entry and must have copied that to txìng and wrrpa without adding the first bit :P It happens. Thanks so much! Proofreading this is going to be messy… :-\
I fixed it in my files. The next update will contain the correction.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the work that goes into this.

Thank you so much! Ngeyä tstunwia aylì’uri irayo seiyi nìtxan!

Your last post (together with the horrifying idea of translating this monster) made me think...

My coding experience is limited to basic HTML/CSS/Python so correct me if I make a mistake anywhere along, but what if you were to make a list of the examples. Each as an entry on their own, consisting out of 4 fields: [№] [Na'vi] [Translation] [Source].
E.g.: 1 Txìng ayioangit! Hum ne wrrpa! Tul! Leave the animals! Get outside! Run! LN/AC

Then wouldn't it be possible for a word to create an entry somewhat like [Na'vi] [IPA] [Category] [Translation] [Example(s)] [Contradiction] [Derivations]?

To summarize: Why not make a list of all the canon examples and simply apply numbers to them, then parse the numbers into the big file? This would also mean that every example only has to be translated once.
If that makes sense.

There was/is the idea to create something like an EanaEltu2.0 that could use Plumps dictionary version (which I very, very much want!), that could generate also categories.
Just read the 2nd page of this thread.

Oh, yes, I knew. It's the reason behind posting it, didn't specify that though. Skxawng oe lu :-X

It was meant as a solution to this problem of having to create multiple input fields for the different examples:
[...]
ExSentence   TranslationSent   ExSentence1   TranslationSent1   ExSentence2   TranslationSent2   ExSentence3   TranslationSent3   ExSentence4
TranslationSent4   ExSentence5   TranslationSent5   SentAddField1   SentAddField2   SentAddField3   SentAddField4   SentAddField5

In this example are only 5 possible "example sentence" input fields and the SQL file would have for each word those fields ready for text input. (of course, one can increase the limit up to any number that would make sense, like 10 or 25. And yes, I see the problem if one want to increase the limit in the future....)
The PDF-creator modul uses the SQL data to create the dictionary. The epty fields should be ignored by the creator modul. My whole idea was not to make the database dynamic rather the input field for better use by people/translators.
Of course, nothing of my idea is perfect and I do believe that there could be better things/ideas. Also there could be something else than that LaTeX thing.
And I'm open for other ideas. :)
So, rather than to have 10 input fields for 5 examples, you'd have 1, where you'd list the numbers of all the examples you want parsed into the PDF.

Txantsan nìwotx nang nang nang!!! Ma Plumps, what an amazing, amazing work! IMHO This is the most significant new work for the language since William Annis's reference garmmar. The community owes you a huge debt of gratitude for putting this together. This will be a tool added to my desktop, the first for this language in a long time!

Make sure when you officially 'release' it, to start adding version numbers, and maybe a changelog.

Thank you so much :-[
That means a lot to me if you or anybody else finds it of use.

The next step will be a thorough proofread and some editorial decisions… I want to declutter the entry for ’u for instance. Also, as you said, ma Tim, a list of abbreviations, changelog and so on.

Something I could use all your input is how to treat the derivational bit. Obviously there are words where only one or two derivations occur and it’s not that big a deal to put them in list form below the main entry. What about words like krr or tseng where there are so many that listing the derivations alone can take up a whole column. With krr I decided for a run-on text.
What do you think looks better?

I know. Creating a software that could compile such a dictionary, would be super difficult.
Also, I would love to help where I can to get a translating system that could compile this. :)

(Little note: I am super busy till end of May, plus I will maybe have no internet access for one or two weeks...)

On the risk that I probably overlooked it, but is there a final file available, yet? I would like to add a link to this excellent file here in the wiki, and of course, after the author allow me to do it so. :)

No, I’m still going over proofing but this may take a while…

But you can link it already if you want. The source link in the gallery won’t change, as far as I know.
