Hi,

So, I joined this board as soon as I heard about it, seeking out other people who love "Avatar" as much as I do. I've learned a little bit of the language, but I really haven't dove into it.

Anyway, I've got a screenplay I'm almost completely finished with -- full-length feature film, low-budget, shooting it myself this Summer. The lead character, and his sort-of-love-interest are huge fans of the "Avatar", and as such, occasionally speak Na'vi to each other.

I only need a few lines. It doesn't even need to be anything super-specific. I need the Na'vi lines, as well as the English translations, which will be displayed on screen. I could do the translation myself (and am willing to do that if I have to), but I'd like it if the translation is as accurate as possible, and surely the people who've been frequenting this board will do a better job than I could. Here's the gist of the conversation I need:

(Appearantly, I'm limited to how long I can make this message, so I'll continue in a response to this post.)

So, here's the basic conversation I need:

BOY
Hi. I see you, sister.

GIRL
I see you, brother.

BOY
I'm excited -- OR -- I'm glad we finally get to see it -- OR -- something to that effect (they are on their way to watch a much-anticipated movie)

GIRL
Me too. This should be fun.

BOY
Listen to these morons over here. (by now, their friends in the back seat have begun making fun of them for speaking Na'vi)

GIRL
(I don't need anything specific, just some kind of insult directed at one of the clowns in the back seat, the more clever the better, and it shouldn't include use of the word skxawng, since BOY already used that in the last line. Also, this insult needs to be directed at, and include the name "Stogie".)

If anyone can help with this, you'll of course be included in the credits, as will a "Special Thanks to learnnavi.org". Any help would be very much appreciated.

We shot the scene yesterday. I was rather impressed with how quickly my actors picked up on it, though they definitely struggled a bit. I hope what we got was close enough to the real thing. I really wanted it to be accurate.

I'm afraid we don't have the option of re-shooting. This is a very low budget movie, so what we get is what we get.
On one of the lines, the actress laughs. She had a very genuine laugh, and I thought it would fit that these character are practicing their Na'vi, so they don't get it perfect, and laugh at themselves when they flub, so I decided to keep that flubbed line.

Na'vi

I really appreciate your help.

Why the dative and not hu here?

hu is used almost exclusively for physical accompaniment. Given the frequent use of the dative, particularly si verbs it seemed (and still does to me) more appropriate.

Mawey, mawey.

It's tximur, English uses "with" there, but Na'vi don't.

Well, I swear you would be my hero if you could include this line somewhere:
