Okay, this topic came up in the Word Football thread.  A few of us had started using original or translated to Na'vi poems.  And so we thought, why not start a Poetry thread?  If I've posted this poll in the wrong section, please move it.

Well, ma smukan sì smuke, would you be interested in a poetry thread, and if so, where does it seem to belong best?  Thanks for your time, and feel free to change your vote if you decide that somewhere else would be better.

The choices in the poll lead me to say: in the Fan Fiction board...

But actually, I would suggest an entire board for 'Translations' or something like that.
I translated a Vedic Hymn (Hinduïsm) once and I put it in the Fan Fiction board. 0 reactions from 19-02-2011 until today, and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of mistakes made.

Since poetry will be written nìNa'vi nì'aw, I don't think it will fit well in Fan Fiction. My vote is for "nìNa'vi nì'aw" for, well, an obvious reason :)

But people will make mistakes and when someone explains me my mistakes in Na'vi, I would say ??? "Uh, yeah, ok, sure..."

Agree, sometimes it's tough to explain everything properly only in Na'vi, but I think we can try to keep things clear and simple ;) And let's be honest, if you are just a beginner, you probably won't start up by writing poetry, so anyway it appears to be aimed at intermediate/advanced speakers who should be able to understand a simple explanation nìNa'vi.

Yayo

Create a board within Fanfiction for stories and poems entirely in Na'vi.. just like Pamtseo nìNa'vi Nì'aw is in fan music.

That's quite a good idea.
Pamrel nìNa'vi nì'aw.....

Yayo

Yep definitely! It'd probably be fun to moderate as well.

And fun to read/post, I've written a lot of poems in the past. Too bad you don't speak Dutch :-\
Never written an English one, but I've been thinking about a Na'vi poem.

Yayo

You should! I think we should all do one!

Actually, I did.  It was ...ìì... not great, but I felt comfortable enough with poetry to attempt it nìNa'vi.  But then, I may be the lone exception to the rule, there.  Still, I think if there is enough interest in creating a Pamrel nìNa'vi nì'aw board within Fanfiction, this might be a good solution.  I personally would like it to be a bit like Pivängkxo nìNa'vi ko where there is the option for explanation in English, but one tries first to communicate nìNa'vi. :D :)

Well, maybe we could start it in Projects/Homework section as well. Previously I had an idea about starting such "pamrel" project there, but at that time it looked like we wouldn't get enogh people involved.

You'd be surprised. When Pamsteo nìNa'vi Nì'aw was started, I doubted that anyone would visit. Now look at it.

Thank you for your interest and opinions, everybody!  The result is that a new Pamrel nìNa'vi nì'aw child board has been created under Fanfiction for both stories and poems nìNa'vi.  Bring your creativity or appreciation and come join us there! :D
