FEYL?

ke is already an adv...so lets make an adverb of it by putting nì! HRH!!!

kewnya txamew'itan

Sran, but nì adverbs can generally go anywhere in the clause due to free constituent order as opposed to ke whose position is fixed. There is some hì'ia method behind my keye'ung. :P

ke cannot be anywhere in the sentence? Did Frommer say that? (gotta see where all these infos come from, picking up things here and there and have to rethink my whole understanding of the langage...)

I believe so. Ke can only ever appear directly before the verb except with si verbs where it appears before the thing as a whole (so ke tsam si not tsam ke si).

I don't think we know that it's not ke si - just we've only had one example and that was of the other type.

According to Tsu'tey's "Tsamsiyu! txopu rä'ä si Tsamsiyu!" in the movie, rä'ä can come between in si verbs, maybe it's the same for ke, maybe we should ask Frommer.

Why? I think differently and I agree with Tsamsiyu92 about "rä'ä". It seems to me same as "ke"...

I just discovered that I was a skxawng when I sat up the mail server, and did an error in my configuration that prevented aliases from working. Now when this is working, I can make it possible for everyone to redirect the mail to their old mail service without any hassle with POP3 or IMAP :)

Don't worry, I wont remove the services, just do a little upgrade.

But isn't rä'ä only used in imperative sentences?

Leave it as ke.skxawng.lu, this way no one can get away from being a skxawng, mwahaha!

That I know.. But if "ke" is before noun, it should be "kea" - @kea.skxawng.lu

The thing is that then you'd still need a ke before lu. Perhaps we can fudge it with nìke? :D
wouldnt "kea skxawng ke lu" mean "there is now moron (at all)" ?

No, "rä'ä" is only negative imperative.

Negatives other than "ke" and "rä'ä" must ALWAYS come in pairs. No exceptions.

So the following are valid:

Nga skxawng ke lu (You are not a moron)

Nga kea skxawng ke lu (You are no moron)

But not:

Nga kea skxawng lu

second sentence im a bit shaky. I KNOW that if you have words like ke'u, kawtu, kawkrr, and the such, you still use ke, and THAT is the double negative requirement, but the exact rule on this i think is still unclear...Poltxe Pawl san:

now about the skxawng.lu email service...I wanna put this account on Thunderbird...and its not seeming to work with the SMTP server...it is something with the certificate...

EDIT: it works...Thunderbird just got sketched out by the domain i guess. just had to override.
DOUBLE EDIT: Error message when I try to send mail from Thunderbird:

Apologies. Right now I just wanna get this to work with thunderbird do I can SEND mail from [email protected] all it is wanting to do is receive...I'm that guy with loads of email addresses and hates having to go and sign into all of them on a separate browser tab, so instead uses thunderbird to avoid that and get all mail simultaniously. Would be epic to get this to work. Ideas?

Apple Mail here, but I had a similar problem: I don't like webmail, I want to use my apple mail client. I found out that there is a way to use my yahoo Mail account (which I never use) to set it up for allowing other email adresses to be sent over its smtp server.

What you need to do is (it shows up in German on my computer, I try to backtranslate, terms might differ ;)):

  • Log in to yahoo Mail
  • options->mail-options->accounts
  • add account (NOT create further mail address! This would only give you another yahoo.com Mail address)
  • then you give the whole thing a name (for your own reference), insert the name you want to appear in the from field of sent mails, and finally, you kxawng.lu email address (so yahoo knows which address to allow ;))
  • you leave the recieve Mail part blank
  • in you mail client you set the SMTP-Server to smtp.mail.yahoo.com (I set it to ...yahoo.de, wonder if .com would work here) PS: Seems the server address is subject to change from time to time, I needed a while to find out which one is the actual so don't be surprised if it stops working one day, the problem might be here)
  • use port 465
  • enable SSL
  • use your yahoo Mail account E-Mail address (the full address) and password

After setting this, you should be able to send your skxawng.lu E-Mails from outside of the webmail client. Hope this helps.

You e-mail client should have a function to add other accounts. You need their username, password and POP3.

Tìmuiäyä'itan

I think his problem was the sending part (which doesn't work via POP, you need SMTP)...
