Kaltxì! A few days ago, I changed my signature to show all the projects I've made and have in mind. The first, M: Pandora, offers a way to enhance your LN account. The second, the Na'vi Constitution, is a plan of government and rights for the Real-Life Na'vi Tribe. Then, the third, which is something I will be officially announcing now: Using various scenes from Avatar, I will recreate many of the Na'vi objects found throughout. Below are some example:

*I apologize for the picture size, I can't seem to change it.

I will begin this once I finish with the "Enhance your LN Account" project, will be in about 1 week or two. Then, I will make lists of all the objects I will need.

Remember:

  • These are replicas, so they will look as close to the "real" ones as possible.
  • Once I master it, I will be making multiple ones which I will be selling for a very reasonable price.
  • I know that people created some of these in the past. However, I would like to make them myself. If there is a problem with that, please notify me and I'll take it off my To-Do-List.
  • I will try my hardest to create the bows to where they actually work.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions please PM me or post a message here. I will reply. Thanks, and good luck with Na'vi!

I will be getting the Bamboo Pen today. With this, I will make drawings of each object. I will show "expected" sizes, colors, side views, front views, and more. I should have the first few out late today or tomorrow.

The following is some ideas that other people and I have thought of on how to personalize and make them feel and look as real as possible:
MY IDEAS

YOUR IDEAS -NEW IDEA, 3/15/10

I posted a poll on the Cosplay/Costuming Thread. I ask everyone who is even remotely interested in this to vote. Please use the pictures found here on this thread as a reference to the poll. Thank you all  :)

http://forum.learnnavi.org/cosplay-costuming/hand-made-movie-replicas-important-poll/

If you vote and leave a message there, I'll give you one karma point. I greatly need this poll answered. This will help me greatly when I begin to create. Thanks again  :)
My uncle's dog came over a little less than one week ago. I stupidly left the computer plug on the floor. That night, his dog chewed it up. So, the next morning, I go looking for the plug and I find a chewed up piece of metal. I sadly cannot purchase a new plug right now, and my computer's battery is out. I'm at my public library.

Also, I discovered this promising "small business" film company called Mirror Entertainment. It looks really promising: http://www.mirrorente

Thanks to my very generous father, I have some extra money to buy some stuff. With this extra money, I believe I will be getting the Bamboo Pen. After reading countless good reviews, I believe this is the best in its category. What I will be doing with this is making "schematics" of the replicas. This will be a huge help to me when it comes time to begin making the replicas. I will also be using it with the other projects of mine, so it will not go to waste.

I just thought of this: Once I become a "master" at the carving, decorating, and constructing, I will allow people to ask for custom replicas (well, I guess they won't be exact replicas). For example, I can put a quote, or a name on the area of your choice.

It's nice to know you're going to be offering some of your creations for purchase.  I know that some of the things I've seen people making in this forum have been eye candy for me.  I know I've been telling myself I'm going to make some of that stuff, but being a major procrastinator I'll probably never get anything done!

Nice to know I could just order something from you!

The reason why I'm "releasing" this to others is as follows: I'm one of those people who don't like to make something for myself and not allow others to use it, especially for this community! But, thank you for taking an interest into this. For me, I need people to encourage me. I try and jam it in my head that, "If I don't do this, people are going to get really mad at me, and really upset." So thank you  :). You just made me want to work a little harder on this  :)

Either way, and this is a message to everyone, don't expect the first "product" to be released in a few weeks. It will take awhile to perfect and construct. Also, I promise that the prices will be extremely reasonable.

I'm also looking forward to your replicas.  I'm currently saving money up for an external hard drive ten the Na'vi contacts.

Thats such a sweet Idea, I hope it all goes well for you.
Jake's arms bracelet is tempting me alot. It's a shame I live in England where I don't get my arms and chest out enough to show it off really, but it looks amazing. Maybe i'll inquire sometime in the future. For now, Eywa ngahu!

Thank you! I, too, hope everything goes well. To be honest, I've never tried carving before. But I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to learn. Also, in my opinion, it doesn't look difficult, just time consuming.

Yeah, totally. The longer you spend on the detail and making sure it is perfect will leave you with some real senses of achievement in the end.

Making something yourself always makes someone feel good. Especially the longer and more detail you put in, like you stated above. Thank you very much for these words, it really does help  :)

*Jaw drops* A very ambitious project. I eagerly anticipate the outcome. I wish you good luck with anything you try and create here. Your ideas are incredible. Will be keeping a very close eye on this thread. Irayo for your hard work. :D

Kalxti!

This is a very ambitious project you're undertaking. A rewarding one at that as well. But just a word of caution: if you plan  to make replicas, especially for sale, be mindful that Fox may knock on your door. The business of making money off replicas gets pretty involved legally speaking. To be honest, you can still make replicas, but if you're going for 100% accuracy for commercial purposes, then consider the legal issues that may come up.

If you're just going for a basic replica, then i don't think it may be an issue. The other consideration is how many you plan on selling. if you don't mass produce, you may be be able to slip under the radar. But do be mindful n o matter what direction you choose to take this project. Last thing you want is Fox legal knocking on your front door. >.<
See that shadow? It's the last one you're gonna see.
