I was playing around trying to find a good Avatar theme for iGoogle, and I wasn't satisfied with what was out there. So I made one.

I thought, before I submit it to google for inclusion in the catalog, I'd run it by everyone here and see if anyone had suggestions.

You can try the theme here (you need to sign into google for it to work): http://www.google.com/ig?skin=http://www.weebly.com/uploads/1/3/6/2/1362003/theme_template.xml

The contrasts seem a bit jarring.  I'm unfamiliar with what you can do with that, but I think light text on a dark background for the page body would work better.

I also find the two faces on the header a bit odd.  Maybe left-align one, and you can fill in the blank space on the right with some Pandorean vista?

That is a nice theme, but perhaps we could get a graphic designer to make a custom one for the forum users ?

Looks nice. Going one step further, is there anyone here with experience in designing windows layouts? I'm still using XP, but i cant stand the normal XP layout and i love custom skins. This skin for google is a great start though.

Unfortunately, I can't change the colors of most of the "gadget area" (the white space) and can only work with a header image and background/side/footer colors and text.  So there's not much to do in the way of the white/black. I really like dark themes, so that's why I went with these colors (to match the header image, which I created first).

I would LOVE someone with more graphic design skill to make a proper graphic...this one reflects my relatively crude workings in photoshop

I'm already asking a friend of mine to make a custom skin, let's see what he says about it.
