Nifty. I have to ask, though - and no offense - but what's wrong with Mibbit?

There are a couple of things I would like to know about your web client before we give a nod to it... First, it is currently trying to connect with an invalid username, so something isn't set up right.  It doesn't seem to ask for a nickname. so what nick does the user get?  Also, in order to recover the user's originating IP, it will need to make a standard webIRC-style client connection which requires an ident/host and password authenticated connect. If you would like to set this up properly, please get with me via private message.

Thanks!

Good thinking about having a Java applet! I've put one up on the main site: http://www.learnnavi.org/irc/

Is that a standard cgi:irc client?  I will need to set the auth block for it on the server.
