Kame frapo
« on: February 16, 2010, 12:38:22 pm »
I want to use a phrase like "Kame frapo" in my greetings.

Literally, it would man "See everyone", and what I mean is something like "See the true spirit in other people" - kind of along the lines of "Namaste" in sanscrit.

I don't mean "Oe-l Ngati Kamaie" = "I see you" - that's already done, of course.  This is the imperative form.

Can someone help with with the conjugation, word selection, etc?

Make a great bumpersticker, eh?

As an imperative, you'd just need to add an accusative -t(i) onto frapo.

That said you'll confuse people who'll think you've got "oel ngati kame ma frapo" wrong.
