Technically it's 'see you by spirit world, moron' I had to keep it short.

If need be tirea and kifkey can be seperated but I put them together to keep it shorter.
Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Here are a few of my ideas. I wanted to get the idea of competitiveness across without the implied meaning that -I'm going to kill you- or harm you. So they are more of a literal translation of the literal meaning of a few English idioms.


"Bring it on" -
English Inspiration- "Come to the challenge" ("Bring it on")
nga zìyeva'u uvan si fpi ke txoa


"Bring it on" Short version -
English Inspiration "Bring it"
"nga zìyeva'u si uvan"


"You are going down"
English Inspiration- You have lost before the game has even begun

As the request was "Ideally the line should be something that fits in with Na'vi life and culture." I can't think of any better idea, because what makes the Na'vi really special isn't their hunting or alike (most native people are good hunters; they have to be) - it's their splendid weaving (as the Survival Guide and other printed sources explain and as you can see in the movie ... look at Mo'at's see-through-fabric-coat!). So referring to that seems to be most appropriate to me.

I agree. That's a really good one, even though weaving may be more of a thing for the Omatikaya than a general Na'vi tradition. Anyway, we should complete it first.

Good ideas, but ... well, I think that, IF this one (or another good one) is choosen, Karyu Pawl will come up with the missing words, as he promised:

And if there's a great concept but a vocabulary item or two is missing, not to worry--I'll fill in the blank.

I think in this special case we should let it to him to come up with a word like unravel, because since weaving is such an important element of their culture, they for certain have a lot of special terms to describe any possible aspect of it. So general terms like "undo" or "fail", "go bad" etc. surely wouldn't fit. It simply would contradict the idea, that weaving is a core element of this culture, if there was no special word for "unravel".

ok, i agree with every offer, very nice and creative but no one is making any connection with the Oscar and the main sentence except some good ones.

I had that same idea... its a good refrence to na'vi culture... but i don't think it really gets the idea of "Bring it on" or "Your going down" across.

Two things...

1. Referencing Oscar - this is supposed to be an idiomic Na'vi expression, and I'm pretty sure there are no Oscars in the Na'vi culture.
2. Oddity of the expression to others - nobody ever said anything else would be changed, so only people who could actually read Na'vi would know what it really said.  The meaning would still (To my understanding) be given as "You're going down!"

Weaving could metaphorically also be seen as waving a tale - IE creating a movie.  But please, keep the ideas coming, I want to see something that makes everyone say "YES!  That's it!"
