Try a different browser. Just in case. Sometimes different browsers respond funny. I am sure Hax is looking into this.
2022 update: Working on the new astrology book. "How to read tarot" books are on Amazon, if you are into that sort of thing.
Okay, so the old podcast is here: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/radioavatar It was goofy fun that ended too soon, but we had creative people. I hope we can get a new gang together (interested? PM me, let's make some magic!)
(Very old, outdated) Na'vi FUN activity book is here: But what are you doing? Let me know! :)

This program is one of the best ideas yet. It really makes translating Na'vi on the fly easy. Say, for instance, you are reading LN and someone has a Na'vi sentence. You can click this open (it is a tiny program0 and decipher the words faster than opening the dictionary PDF and searching.

New release!

This is the fully rewritten edition, which is made to fit for all platforms! Use the links below to download.

Windows

Linux (This requires the Qt libraries to be installed.)

Mac OS X - Delayed.

In the future, I'm thinking of taking this to the Windows Phone 7 platform also, since I will probably get a developers license anyway, and porting won't be too hard since I will be able to reuse large amounts of sourcecode. :)

i think the zip file for windows is corrupted b/c i cant extract any files

omängum fra'uti

Windows zip is corrupt because it starts with...

<br />
<b>Warning</b>:  finfo::finfo() expects parameter 1 to be long, string given in <b>/home/haxalot.com/public_html/download.php</b> on line <b>14</b><br />
<br />

<br />
<b>Warning</b>:  finfo_close(): supplied argument is not a valid file_info resource in <b>/home/haxalot.com/public_html/download.php</b> on line <b>18</b><br />

Before the contents of the file.

The problems with the download system have been resolved, hopefully once for all now.

I just grapped your app and must say its pretty legit. it seems to be up to the current dict build. does it auto update the dict version, or do we have to download a new version every time the Taronyu dict updates?

Great work! Some thoughts:

  • It would be nice if the program displayed which version of the dictionary it is using, since things can change pretty rapidly around here.
  • I seem to have some trouble displaying phonetic symbols. Most just show up as black boxes. Is this a problem at my end, or do other people experience it too? If it is at my end, what can I do to fix it?
  • Is the fixed window size really necessary?
We learn from our mistakes only if we are made aware of them.
If I make a mistake, please bring it to my attention for karma.

  • This version is currently using a fixed version of the database, but it should be upgraded to a dynamic version.
  • Well, it has been working well when I tested it. Which OS do you use?
  • Well, for now the background is a static picture, so it would look very bad when dragging. This could of course get fixed.

Windows XP Home Edition 32-bit SP3. Hang on a sec, I'll go check my Ubuntu (9.04 Jaunty Jackalope 32-bit) machine.
Edit: Can't extract it.

Well, it's true that it's not a zip-file. I made a mistake when uploading it, but it should be fixed now.

Phonetics work in Ubuntu. What might the problem be in Windows?

I have tested it in a VM, and it seems to be a problem specific to Windows XP.

btw, If anyone have any more feature request, now is the time to post them, since I will move on to my next project as soon as this is finished.

The application is soon ready for RC2, but until then, I want to give it a better, shorter name than "Learn Na'vi Dictionary searcher", so, here's my proposals:

Fwew - Search, but I have no idea how to pronounce it :P
Kame - Look
Run - Find
