C:\Users\raszka>fwew -s atxkxe
[1] atxkxe (atx-←[4mkxe←[0m) n. land
What is it? I'm using Window 10.

That looks like ANSI escape codes to me, which are used on Mac/Linux to control formatting, but the Windows terminal does not by default support them.

I remember running into the same issue with a C++ application I wrote. I seem to remember I had to do something like the stuff described in this article to get the escape codes to work on the Windows terminal: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/console/console-virtual-terminal-sequences

Ah, clear now. In old good DOS they were handled by ansi.sys driver. For Windows 10 is solution here:
REG ADD HKCU\CONSOLE /f /v VirtualTerminalLevel /t REG_DWORD /d 1Probably needs console restart to activate (tried and it simply works).
