Also snga'ikrr (beginning, start time) has the wrong sound file.

Fixed

Shouldn't skxawng's phonetics be [sk'awng] not with the glottal stop as is in the program?

I'm using learnnavi.org's vocabulary set and it currently uses: skxawng [skʔawŋ] n. Moron
Can we get some others to confirm this change is needed?

It would be great if it had the option to give you and English word and then you have to translate it to Na'vi.

There is now a quiz drop down. You can choose from translating a Na'vi word to English, choosing an image to match a Na'vi word and translating an English word to Na'vi.

When word set has loaded there is a drop down to swap between single word/image view and multiple translate/image mode. All the quiz types have this mode switch now.

Current developments

There is a new set of sound file corrections in the pipe.
New images will continue to filter in as I have time.

Is that Adobe Flex I smell?  Let me know if you need any help with developing the tool.  It would be pretty awesome if this was turned into an open source community project for the software developers in community to help out with.

Irongamer these are some seriously solid changes you're making, easily the best resource for learning.  If you go through with those planned additions it will be amazing.

Brilliant, Brilliant tool, irongamer!  I've been using it nonstop since i discovered it.

A few small suggestions

Listing parts of speech may be helpful.  Learning how the words are used in context is almost as important as learning the literal meanings.  Words like Peel (fkarut).  Does it mean something like an apple peel, or to peel an apple?  And why is it in the mind/body section?  that sounds uncomfortable >.<

A section for parts of speech, such as verbs,  connectors and so on.  Learning them together in their infinitive (base?) form may be helpful

Once again, thank you very much!

Haha, I'll look into the peel issue.
Yes, I think those other areas will be helpful. I'll see where they can fit into the road map.

This would be awesome. If you have some favorites that you want to record go ahead and PM me the audio and I'll work on a phrase / sentence area.

The user submission / correction aspect is coming along but taking a bit longer since I am learning a new framework as I build it. So in the meantime I will be adding new areas to the flash app itself, so send all the sentences / phrases you want and I'll work them in.

There is now a phrases area in the language tool.

Dr. Frommer's response is included in the phrases area.
The response is broken into sentences and includes a full audio version as well.

These audio files may take longer to load. There is a loading animation to let you
know the file is loading. The speaker icon shows up when it is ready. Clicking the
speaker icon will play the audio. Once playing a stop button will show up.

Hi mate,

Just started playing with this - and I'm very impressed. Good work fella!

Edit: Found a small mistake, was in a quiz and the question read "rey - ['r3.nu]" instead of [r*3j]
(not easy to do the IPA on this machine - so 3 = eh)
(r* being the flap obviously)

Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback.  ;D

The language set used in this tool is based on the Learn Navi website.

This is the current entry for "rey":

rey ['ɾɛ.nu] v. Live

It does appear that the IPA could be a little different.
I'm no linguist, so I'd need some confirmation or some
source data to make sure the change is needed.

Pretty sure Taronyu's dictionary lists ɾɛj which is right as far as my knowledge of IPA goes.

Just stumbled upon the problem while testing out the spelling area. It appears that "live" (rey) was
using the IPA for "pattern" (renu). The IPA for "rey" has been updated in the app.

I sent a correction notice to learnnavi.org as it is mixed up there as well.
