Loran

I'm recording some words right now, I just finnished with "Weapons, War, Opression" and am on my way with "Time, Pace". I'll email them to you when I'm done.  ;)

I'd love to get copies of them as well to add to the collection of spoken Na'vi dialog.

Actually, I think I made a few pronounciation mistakes, so I'm gonna go over the words tomorrow and redo the ones that I mispronounced. Also; I would like it if you would give me a list of the words that you need, and I'll do them. ;)

I was actually asking for a list of words that you haven't done so that I won't need to look every word up.

Loren,

Are you "Olle Friström"? Thanks for the files if so. I should be adding them later today.

QuoteI was actually asking for a list of words that you haven't done so that I won't need to look every word up.

I'll look into adding csv exports for words in the program that have or do not have audio and images.
This way if someone wants to help add some content they can export a list words that are missing images or audio.

Todays update

The update coming later today will include missing letter exercises.
This new area was inspired by Kaltxì Palulukan's worksheets and the content is provided by Kaltxì Palulukan!, thank you!

Update

Word Exercises area: Missing Letters

This generates a list of words with only few, or just one, letter(s) showing.
You must type in the correct missing letters. There is a word bank on the
right showing you all the possible words and which ones you have already
used.

This area was inspired by Kaltxì Palulukan! More word sets are in the works.

More audio added. Thanks Loran.

In progress

Multi-lingual Support
Hungarian Language Set (It's on the way Zoli, just a bit longer)
File upload (yeah, still going to be a while)

Oooh, this is some awesome stuff. :D

Hey, question: Where did you guys get those images? Looks like google, since I found similar ones. Do you guys check first if the image violates any copyright? Or do we not bother? Cause I have a few images I could send you. Should I send em to the same email adress?

A few suggestions:

I think the picture for "mokri" should have the Adam's apple in the throat showing, to make it clearer that "voice" is meant.

The word "taw" should contain only sky. I was confused at first what was meant, thought it might be "meadow", and it was only thanks to my actually remembering what the word meant that I knew.

'ampi : people are gonna think that it means "elbow" or "arm", the way it is now. I would put one person touching someone else.

And why don't we use pics of Na'vi body parts instead of human ones? Like I said, I made some.

Hey, question: in the missing-letter game, you have nirol = sing. But in the dictionary, rol is sing.
What's that ni- ?

Also one little problem: When you complete a word by klicking on the provided ì or ä button, the program doesn't check if the word is correct. You might wanna make it call whatever function it calls when a letter is manually entered.

Um, in the sentences, is it meant to just say "Full Message", or were you gonna add the full Na'vi and english message in there?

Wow, this site is gonna be useful. Anyway, like I said, I have some pictures for you I put together from google. Want em?

Project Status

I have not been able to work on this project for the last few weeks.

The process of changing careers, going back to school and moving
has taken up most of my free time.  :o

However, I should be all settled in a week or so.  ;D

The next update will consist mostly of bug fixes, image updates (thanks to contributors)
and additional audio files. The next update should arrive in a week or two once all the
dust settles.

I'll add that to the list.  ;D

Added to research list.

Yeah, this is on the bug list and will be fixed with the next update.

QuoteUm, in the sentences, is it meant to just say "Full Message", or were you gonna add the full Na'vi and english message in there?

Added to research list. It could be a bug introduced with the multi-lingual support.

New Update

Fixed "sing" (rol) in the missing letter area.
Using the buttons for special characters in the mission letter area now checks if the word is correct.
The full message from Dr. Frommer is now in the sentance/phrase area.

If you are using Windows you can now you can now use "ctrl i" and "ctrl a" to type the special i and a
characters. This only works in the spelling and missing letter text boxes.
