Na'Vi names for my starships
« on: February 14, 2010, 03:42:07 pm »
I am currently designing space ships built from real world components and would like to use Na'Vi names for them. If anyone is interested please visit my wiki at http://ipspilyhas1.wikia.com/wiki/IPS_Pilyhas-1_Wiki I just started the site today so there is not that much content on the pages as of yet. But the main type of class of ships are present and I welcome bother Na'Vi and Terran alike to provide me with names for the ships. Each name that is chosen for each class design will have their Na'Vi or Terran name added in with the design that their name was chosen for. The IPS Pilyhas-1 could be said to be the predecessor to the ISV Venture Star.

I see you.

This seems to have some promise. I am a highly visual person, will you be adding concept sketches as well at some point?

Yes I will be adding visual images of each of the designs after I have written the design out. No I am not developing a game at the moment. What these ships represent are a theoretical approach based on real world components to build a series of tawsip's that will give humanity the ability to journey to Jupiter or any other planet in the Sol system where the feeling and emotion of Eywa (Gaia - Earth term) first hand by actually being able to see the planet and the wonderment of the feeling of traveling through an Eywian String.

So far I have maybe six ships based off of the initial Pilyhas-1 design.

What I am looking for also is someone that has 3-D modeling skills that can model each model in 3-D where all of the surfaces resemble the actual module symbol. This would be done after I posted the hadn written drawings for each module and ship in which they will have a seperate page outlying their particulars.

Now, I'm at the moment a bit out of my head (dang cold!) but it looks promising.
I hope you don't mind if I spend some time later and make comments on the technology you are utilizing.

Thank you for the compliments which will keep me going. I will be adding some basic MS Paint images of the design to the site this weekend. even though they look like A Super Mario Bros. game it should give everyone an idea of what I am trying to design. Once I get the wiki for it going all of the terms and modules will be linked to an image or glossary for easy referance and image processing.
