Na'vi proficency tests?
« on: January 30, 2010, 09:31:36 pm »
Would anyone be interested in coming up with a kind of "Test" for measuring one's proficency in Na'vi? I guess I'm asking because I'm not sure just how good I am at speaking it yet. I also wondered if there could be some different levels of testing. Like in first- and second-year foreign language classes. I suppose something simple like vocabulary tests to start with, then moving on to prefixes, infixes and suffixes. See, I'm looking at a possible teaching career and this kind of thing is often on my mind. If such tests exist already or if this post is in the wrong thread, let me know!

I've been thinking about this for a while, now that I've finished my clause worksheet.  I've wanted a new project, so I think I'll take this on.  Give me a week.

There are worksheets, and on quizlet http://quizlet.com/user/omumyu/ Omumyu has made some quizes you can take. But i think a few generalized proficiency tests would be something fun and interesting to create/take.

Something like this would be cool. I'm moving this to the Projects/Resources area so we can get some additional people working on it.

The Basic Skills Proficiency Test is attached below.  It covers material from Skxawng's worksheets, the Frommer email, and email correspondances through January 28th.  Special thanks to Skyinou for his suggestions and editing.  You rock!

You can only take this test honestly once, so please, if you have a question about any part of the test either pm me or post your question here as a spoiler.

Enjoy and good luck!

Nice job... but oh my - I'm not doing well. :D

BTW Section 2 is unfair -

Because of that, I'm giving myself 19/20 (one point lost fair and square). ;)
