I think to date there is about 30+ words that still don't have recordings. I've found them useful myself for hearing how they are pronounced. As well as general use. In fact I try to read the na'vi sentences before the translations hrh

FYI - I tweaked the encoder settings so it would produce roughly 30% smaller files with better quality. And re-encoded pretty much all existing clips using the new settings. So while there hasn't been any old clips recorded differently yet, you might want to grab the whole set. It drops the total storage down from 100mb to 70mb.

Cool stuff, I'll try and pull in the new stuff this week and create a new downloadable for who wants. :)

How are you tagging? If you have a suggestion I'd be happy to make it part of the encoding process. (And, hìtxoa ma Puvomun, add it to all past files.) Is it just title = word, or something more clever?

for example using tuesday's word

filename was left alone : wotd_598.mp3

Track: 598
Song Title: zet - vtr. treat - (emotionally), display an attitude towards
Album: Na'vi Word of The Day
Artist: Na'vi Word of The Day
Album Cover: http://a1.twimg.com/profile_images/1288803062/avatar3_reasonably_small.png
so not entirely clever but useful.
I'm stubborn and would sit another 6+ hours redoing all the song titles cause i can just easily retag all the album/artist etc. just that simple as a group

and i've been using the logo in the top left of the website for the album cover art heheh
clever? maybe. helpful , most definatly.
=)
cause if someone says refrence Word of the day 251. i can just goto track 251 and know i'm hearing the right one.
i also keep all of these on my iPod NANO which is in a wristwatch style band if i want to look up a word so i can hear it, it's easy to find cause i just find it by the actual word as i scroll through the song titles

Pulling in the newly tagged files is no problem, ma tsmukan. It's 1 linux command. *grin* Just let me know when it's done and I'll reload them. I'll also look at adding the latest MP3s to the file every day, that's not rocket science.

Well i'll be sitting down probably later today as i have an appointment in about an hour. but then i'll sit down to start the process on the new one's as it's always nice to save space.
but if Omängum fra'uti has a way of doing this from his files that you already download from then who knows it could be a better option. but i'll try and get what i've done ( when the new set is done) posted
for anyone wanting the latest at least up to WOTD_598 message me and i'll post you a link where i have it in a temp spot ( didn't wanna post in thread and end up creating a broken link when i move it )

Seriously, it takes me all of a minute to tag everything. It takes longer to upload it than to tag.

Anyway, I've uploaded files that are appropriately tagged now (At least as accurate as the source list, which does have some errors such as todays - which I fixed in the tag), and all future files will be tagged as well.
