Na'Vi International Vocabulary
« on: March 30, 2010, 08:54:14 am »
Hi there, i am the admin of, an Italian site about avatar.

Since there was no online Na'vi vocabulary in Italian i started together with some programmers a new one:

This is the English version:

We have a very updated and accurate dictionary but it is too much work for me to update the italian one and at the same time translate it into English.

I came here to ask for help: could someone who is expert in Na'Vi help me creating the english version?

So that as soon as it is finished you from learnnavi can use it too.

Thanks, Kawnga Tawtute (Olo'eyktan on

I know that Taronyu does the dictionaries around here, but I am pretty well versed in Na'vi. I am not fluent or straight pro, because that does not exist yet. I would love to help you out, just what is the plan? what is it I would have to do?

EDIT: Oh i get it. Sure thing. I can help you with that. Nice project btw :)

DOUBLE EDIT: come to think of it, Tuiq and Taronyu have been working together to parse the dictionary for projects. it will likely be much faster if you get them on it. I would have to do word by word, which would take forever.

Assuming that you have all the Na'vi words already, you can get all the English translations from Tuiq here.  I would recommend using the CSV or TSV files, they are very easy to parse.
