Is there any automatic translation software available for Navi like the ones for Esperanto (another designed language) ?
Does anyone know how amenable the language would be for automatic translation ? It surprises me that the people in the movie didnt use any translation devices (as far as I remember)

There is one floating around Second Life.  It is unspeakably terrible.

Since Google's translation service includes Filipino (the only language I could think of quickly that uses infixes regularly), I don't see that Na'vi would cause any special difficulties.

No doubt Secondlife has a translator for Na'vi, but it only translates single words, so you'd pretty much kill all the grammar.
I think Na'vi is so tough to learn for most of us because of all the grammar rules.

Ah but grammar is consistent.  Lucrative except in certain cases.  For instance a lead verb (intan or tran) ends a clause when a qualifying verb is needed (put at start).  Any other verbs are connected by a pronoun (of the main subject) followed by the qualifier and then the verb.  Kinda confusing now but its like this sentence.

Qualifying Verb #1 - Subject - Adverb - Main Verb - Specific Pronoun - Qualifier Subject - Equivalent Qualifier (for lu) - Qualifier Verb #2
