I have been away for white awhile but I has returned, at least for a bit.  This is one of those sites I always somehow trickle back to.

I have recently become really active in my spirituality with a club I help to run at my college called the Neo-Pagan Alliance.  I have been studying Druidry for a few months now and I think it would be really great to translate some of the songs and chants and whatnot into Na'vi.  So that is my new project (and honestly, the reason I came back).

If anyone is interested in helping out with translations or double checking my work or suggesting songs or even using my translations, please let me know!

Fìtsenge:

Koaka sa'nok
Koaka sa'nok, oel stawm ngat syeraw
Koaka sa'nok, oel stawm ngeyä wayit
Koaka sa'nok, oel stawm ngeyä *tìhangham
Koaka sa'nok, oel ewku ngeyä tsngawpayvit

Tute oe lu
Tute oe lu, tira oe lu,
Oe lu ketxewnga' mì vitra.
Ke lu oeru sngä'itseng ulte ke lu oeru tì'i'a.
Fìfra'u oe lu.

As for the last one, no idea what hoof and horn in Na'vi... :-X

I don't think "koak" is good word for "ancient", it's not the same meaning. My attempt:

Sa'nok a ta 'okrol
----------------
Sa'nok a ta 'okrol, oel stawm ngey(ä) tìsyusawit
Sa'nok a ta 'okrol, oel stawm ngey(ä) tìrolit (or wayit)
Sa'nok a ta 'okrol, oel stawm futa hangham nga
Sa'nok a ta 'okrol, oel ewku ngey(ä) tsngawpayit
(here we can discuss if ewku or may', but as stawm is -control verb, we should use ewku, as it is -control verb too)
(For more info see post on naviteri)

Tuté lu oe
----------
Tuté lu oe, tirea lu oe
Mì vitra ke lu oer tì'i'a
Kea sngä'itseng, kea tì'i'a ke lu oer
Fra'u oe lu

As for the last chant - I think not exact words are important, but rhymes. But it's not easy to create rhymes in Na'vi. I'll try to think more...
Oe lu skxawng skxakep. Slä oe nerume mi.
"Oe tasyätxaw ulte koren za'u oehu" (Limonádový Joe)

QuoteSa'nok a ta 'okrol
"Woman from the history", eltur tìten si. "Ancient" means that something is "old", from the past, but I know it don't fit so well.
But I got an idea:

Sa'nok a ta ftawnemkrr
Sa'nok a ta ftawnemkrr, oel stawm ngeyä tìsyusawit
Sa'nok a ta ftawnemkrr, oel stawm ngeyä tìrolit / wayit
Sa'nok a ta ftawnemkrr, oel stawm ngeyä tìhusangham
Sa'nok a ta ftawnemkrr, oel ewku ngeyä tsngawpayit

I wouldn't use may', stawm and ewku are fit well there.

For the last one, I tryed this:

Venzek venusì
Venzek venusì
Venzek venusì
Venzek venusì
Fra'u a terkup, 'ayongokx nìmun
Rina' tsyosyusì / syuvesì
Rina' tsyosyusì / syuvesì
Fra'u a zup, fäkayä nìmun

Not bad, but original rhyme pattern is different:

QuoteHoof and horn
All that dies shall be reborn

Corn and grain
All that falls shall rise again
Also, I don't think that things can die ;)
My attempt:

Tirea sì tokx
Tirea sì tokx
Tirea sì tokx
Frapo a terkup 'ayongokx
Tìng mikyun
Tìng mikyun
Fra'u a zup kllkxayem nìmun
Oe lu skxawng skxakep. Slä oe nerume mi.

Not too much to add :) Just instead of ol/alm I'd use iv - all text is like command or wish.

I'm wondering how to translate this correctly. Original is "packed" text - verbs are omitted, but in Na'vi it looks somehow strange. Though it could work.

Why both ulte and is used? is enough as it is one long list :)

Maybe more grammatic would be:
Teswotìng tìhawnut
sì tìtxurit a mì sìhawnu,
sì tìtslamit a mì sìtxur, ....

but I like first version more..... and poetic license allows it ;D

It was my attempt to translate it to be as near as possible to the original but also to let it to rhyme/read good.

As for that ulte vs , I thought, it would be nice to have a "difference" between the "and-s", and that poetic thing would allow. :) ;) :D

The original have also no verbs in the first line [context would be the key]. :-\
Interesting idea with ma :)
