Imagine a community out of this, and that each member have there own "RDA"-badge as member imfo. No guestbooks or blogs, a forum with a chat and some pages for site members and videos and picture uploading. :) Just got a "creative attack" by my self :P

I jsut saw that I failed totally, this is not merch, move it to it's home admins!! *waving* :O

I really like this idea so far, lets make this happen. Community input would be great!

Kxani

I think that to but no guestbooks or teen community XD

Kaltxì Palulukan!

I like where you are going with this.
2022 update: Working on the new astrology book. "How to read tarot" books are on Amazon, if you are into that sort of thing.
Okay, so the old podcast is here: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/radioavatar It was goofy fun that ended too soon, but we had creative people. I hope we can get a new gang together (interested? PM me, let's make some magic!)
(Very old, outdated) Na'vi FUN activity book is here: But what are you doing? Let me know! :)

Good idea. Looks great. I'd love that sort of log in screen before the forum idea, and the picture/text are cool.

I like it so far. I agree with Nume fpi sänume, "Let's make it happen."
My uncle's dog came over a little less than one week ago. I stupidly left the computer plug on the floor. That night, his dog chewed it up. So, the next morning, I go looking for the plug and I find a chewed up piece of metal. I sadly cannot purchase a new plug right now, and my computer's battery is out. I'm at my public library.

Also, I discovered this promising "small business" film company called Mirror Entertainment. It looks really promising: http://www.mirrorente

This server is colliding because of 100 online users and you want it to send highres pictures to every client? Assuming most clients have no cache or just suck at caching, this would be the end of the server. Also, some browsers just have problems with big background images. What if my browser window is smaller/bigger than the website? What are you going to do? Repeat? Just adding this X*Y pic on a black background and hope nobody has a bigger resolution? Also, using some pictures for that kind of presentation (basically, you're really /sharing/ the pic at that moment - every client that visits your website gets it automagically. Except maybe lynx users, but they're rare anyway .) could cause copyright problems.

I'm really no friend of that kind of design. If it is about to be implemented, please add it as an additional style. And let the old alone.

Don't thank! You don't thank for this! This is sad... VERY sad only!

I didn't even realize that. I completely forgot about uploading times and everything else you said here. You're very knowledgeable to know that off hand.

I like that design too, but as mentioned there are several problems that need to be solved first. There is a reason why it's rare to have big background images like that.

Kxani

But it won't be put up as a background image in the way you think of it. The face that I uploaded it as a picture was just to show the result of the codings. :)

Tuiq

If it's not a background image, what then? A magical muffin of doom?

maybe you can put the images on a different server, or store it locally (if your browser allows that). i know of a browsergame wich had this option in times when bandwidth was precious.

Tuiq

/if your browser allows that/, here we go again. Adding exceptions and exceptions and in some browser it won't be displayed correctly. "on a different server" - assuming they had the money for an additional server, why can't they have the money to get a better?

maybe its possible with a greasemonkeyscrip, this wouldnt require any change on the server. and for imagehosting: there are enough freehosters where you could store them. maybe they are not lucky about that but with greasemonkey everybody could make up his own imageserver theoretically and there is no actual connection to learnnavi.org .

The problem isn't that it's impossible to store data offline, the problem is that you have to support at least ALL major configurations out there. Grease monkey is not an option, since it would require all users to use firefox. All browsers act a little different, and that tend to be a problem when you developing web services.

Another sever would of course work, but it still cost alot of money, if noone "donates" the hosting.

Why not just make an own browser, written in a language which is not based on English but Na'vi and THEN do it? Seriously. Forget it. With today's technology, something like that is just not possible. You can't force users to use a specified plugin or browser. And most of them won't do that for only one site.

That's actually true, not fun at all to face the fact but you have to.. :/

Tuiq You could express your self a little nicer to people though. No one likes a know it all. This is a discution forum, not a place for irony and arrogance. We are a family here.
