Lexicon of Na'vi language

(1/4) > >>

Vawmataw:
Here I am with a new project, the thesaurus of Na'vi synonyms and antonyms. For the first time ever, there will be a reference that tells you what is the synonym or the antonym of a word.

Since I want to make my document a main reference, I need volunteers to make corrections. I hope most of my document will be OK, but I don't want to release something that's inexact. @ me on Discord or reply here to get the link to the document for edits, since I allow people to edit.

Just a few things before we begin:
- With some small exceptions, I tried to keep words of the same class together. vtr. with vtr., nouns with nouns, adverbs with adverbs. You won't see ve'kì and yawne because one is a verb and the other is an adjective. Anyway, it's not a good example, they don't exactly match.
- Also the antonym must be present in the dictionary. For example, sngum si is in the dictionary, but 'efu nitram isn't.
- Not all obvious opposites will appear there, especially if there is no equivalent in Na'vi (see point 2)
- The layout is very easy to break if you play with the rows.
- There aren't many synonyms, they must be interchangeable and not only partially overlap in meaning.

You can use this thread to discuss about the projet a bit.

Irayo nìli!
