As you may know from this page Sigourney Weaver reckons that it won't be too long before there is a translation of Hamlet.

I know that at the moment the lexicon is too small and the grammar too uncertain to translate in its entirety at this stage but we must be able to make a start.

To this end I have started a wave for the translated copy, if you have wave either send or post your wave address and I'll add you, if you don't feel free to contribute here and I'll post it up in the wave for you.

The English script can be found here.

I'd love to help out with this. I don't have a wave account and I'm not that good at na'vi yet, but this is definitely a fun idea. Maybe some day in the distant future we could actually put up a production too.

kewnya txamew'itan

To make the production even better we'd have to wear Na'Vi costumes underneath the Hamlet ones of course.  :P

If you want I can send you a wave invite, just send me an email address.

they are not invites...They are suggestions to google.

kewnya txamew'itan

even if they aren't, google seems to be pretty generous and is actually inviting all of them (and the wave you get to send invites from calls them invites anyway).

I now know why "Shakesphere is best read in 'Klingon'." although, i think that it will be MUCH better read(or spoken ;D) in Na'vi

I looked at the script and the first word that i saw was "unfold" which i instantaneously knew would translate to  'ong...

i LOL'd

I would like to help, invite me to the wave. [email protected]

I figured as much, but once more language is released, we can fill in the blanks.

Atoki Atanyä

All done. :)

Yeah, at the moment our plan is to get as much done as we can, get that perfect and then wait for enough vocabulary to finish it off.

I'll add you. Thanks for offering your help :) If anyone can figure out the Epistemology of the names in Hamlet, and then we can try to translate them into Na'vi.

If you can post the meanings here, i'll crack on and translate them. :P
