Just wondering, can I substitute the alveolar trill [r] with an uvular trill [ʀ]? I can pronounce both on their own, but proceeding or following another alveolar consonant with [r] is difficult for me and [ʀ] is much easier/natural sounding.

It wouldn't be "correct" pronunciation, but I can't imagine anyone would have trouble understanding what you were saying.  It would be like speaking with an accent.

Yea, kind of like the "regional" dialects that show up in languages. For example Quebec French is different than the French spoken in the home country. Thats about the easiest example I can think of.
