Its possible that this is come up before...

This morning, I was talking to my cats, and tried referring to my two cats as metspangyu*
It then occurred to me that me+ casuses lenition, which would result in metpangyu.One one had, you could argue that metpangyu is phonotactically correct, but the form has just changed a lot. The other viewpoint is that prefixing tspang with a leniting prefix results in an illegal syllable (because the word should not be changed much when affixed), and therefore, an illegal word.

Maybe there is another way to look at this that I have simply missed.
