I was wanting to know how the ll sounded.  On one page it is says it sounds like a-ll-ow, but it is to lose to l as in l-ost.  I have herd it sounds like yee as well.  Can someone help me?

If English were spelled like Na'vi is spelled "people" would be pipll.  Does that help?

Enix

Yes it does, thank you very much!

So in short, ll is much deeper down in your throat while l is "brighter" and almost at your front teeth?

Doolio

well, yes, but it's not that much deeper, imho. although, i really think it is pretty much arbitrary because it is very easily differentiated in speech due to the fact that it lasts longer than the single 'l'.
