Even their r's are not quite well spoken. You may see Dr. Augustine saying: "Ftang, rutxe!" as "Ftang, rrutxe"

Even though that's not the correct pronunciation, I can see that she might have added it for effect (and it's possible the Na'vi might too), because rr is more of an ear-catching sound than r....and she was trying to get their attention.

It would be a really interesting project to get some good speakers together and re-voice the film with correct pronunciations.

While we're at it, why not just translate all the English lines into Na'vi? If people are making The Lion King nìNa'vi, I don't see why they couldn't do Avatar. ;)

As I speak Portuguese and as this sound is really important in my language, I pronounce it easily and I can say that it is absolutely more alike an rr than an r.

vocab gaps and grammar inconsistencies allied with idioms galore are at the head of the reasons why this is nearly impossible at this time. but we can probably do a very good job on about 60 percent of it.

I believe that's the case. During uniltaron Mo'at says: "fìtaronyurr apxan", probably trying to put some extra emphasis.

Please tell me if you see mistakes in a Na'vi post of mine. It's the only way I'll learn. :P
