I was wondering what some friends' and family's names might be in Na'vi. I'm still really new to the language though, so wouldn't trust myself to figure it out myself.

I'd prefer ewll/ayewll and ayiong, as flora and fauna is not just one piece. But good shot.

Does that mean that Summer would just be written the same and Spring would be almost the same, except for the g needing to be changed?

I'd suggest that you should hit the reply button instead the quote button. And if you want to quote something from a previous post, one can add multiple quotes into one post. If done correctly, it is way more easier for us to read.

As for the summer or spring word, it depends what's your goal. Are these words part of a name or just part of a larger text? If they are names, then one could just transcribe them to adjust their sound to the Na'vi one. Also it could reduce possible confusion when these names are a part of a larger text that is supposed to be translated eventually.

Spring = Spìring (spì-ring because in Na'vi two consonats as initial cluster are allowed.)

Since the Na'vi ng sound is often similar as the english ng you don't need to look to remove the g. But I should mention, that I am not a native english speaker and someone else would come with a better alternative suggestion.

I am not native english speaker too, but I would say that both are good ideas. Just Summer I would maybe transcripted as Samìrì however Samerì sounds good for me too.

Hi! I have a question. Well, asking for a friend. We're wondering how the Na'vi would say the names "Lorelai" and "Hesperia". (Also, if this isn't the place to ask! im sorry! im new here!)

I am not sure what's the original pronounciation for "Lorelai" or "Hesperia" is, but I guess a Na'vi would say them as:

Lo-re-lay or Lo-re-la-i
[lo.ɾɛ.laj] or [lo.ɾɛ.la.i]

He-spe-ri-a
[hɛ.spɛ.ɾi.a]

Maybe there could be different variations depending on dialect and native language's pronounciation.

As Tìtstewan said, Lorelai and Hesperia would be pronounced basically the same as in American English, except that the "r" would be a tiny bit different.
