I've been attempting to get my mouth around vrrtep and lrr for the past 15 minutes or so, and while I grasp the sound, I can't seem to duplicate what I'm hearing on the Tree of Voices software!
Does anyone have any tips for pronouncing the 'rr' that doesn't make it sound like I'm gargling rocks?

I'm not 100% sure, but that's how I pronounce rr sound:
1. I put tongue on the palate, stick it to teeth (from inner side)
2. I try to make sound "r" and simultanously I slightly hit many times palate with tongue (tongue needs to oscillate fast)

Well, it's a lot easier to me, I think, cause I'm from Poland, and in Polish language there is natural hard "r".

I gave this a couple of tries, and it seems to work!
I just need to keep at it.  From your description I can feel when I don't 'mouth' something correctly and it comes out sounding like I'm gargling rocks.  Mmmm granite.
Thanks for your help!
