the 'ä'
According to wikipedia, I have to pronounce it like the 'a' in 'cat'
but I can't seem to do so, without it sounding really strange or stupid.
Am I doing this wrong? misreading it?

There is really no way to make it not until you get use to pronouncing the language.

According to the Log post, "ä" is the same that the swedish one, or the danish "ae" (which is similar in some way to the french "é")
