Taron - Dr. Frommer interview

Hey guys, I was reading this interview, and it confused me a bit with the consonant "t".

Here:

Well, there's a root called "taron" (pronounced "gad'on") which means "hunt." If you want to modify that to mean "hunting has been completed," to add a past tense or future tense or imperfect aspect, rather than putting something at the beginning or end, you put something right after the "t" – so various forms appear: "tovaron, telaron, tusaron, tairon" – that is relatively rare in human language. And that was really fun to do.

It says taron is pronounced "gad'on", but looking in the phonetic section the examples I have for the sound of "t" doens't look like a "g".. am I a skxawng or is this s**t totally wrong?

I know that flap "r" doesn't look like a "d", not in here, nor in Pandora.

can somoene clarify that to me?

No, it's just a very bad transcription on UGO's part.  They didn't even spell Eywa right.

Listening to the "ik-ran" audio file again it sounds kind of like the throaty sound (I don't know the technical term) found in languages from the Mid-East, like the "ch" sound in "chanukah" mixed with a rolled "r" from the back of the throat.

Irayo, but the "r" I already got.. just that "t" that was making me think something was wrong

yes the Ikran is like a hebrew Resh if you want to look up how that sounds I am having trouble figuring out what to do with y's in Na'vi as in the word Irayo I just cannot get the right pronounciation anyone have any tips?
