pronunciation difference ?

do you just put stress on the é ?  ???

Yup, that’s pretty much it,
the difference in pronunciation is that you stress the first syllable in tute but the second/last in tute ;)

Same as if you say research or research

é pretty much only exists in that word as a stress differentiation. since the meaning changes based on which syllable is stressed

Some deeper explanation:
Depends on what you want to say :) What makes difference is stress (or akcent? I'm not good at linguistic terminology)
tute = person
tute = woman
tuté is the only word, where you can find é in Na'vi - it is used to exactly show in the written text, that you mean "woman", if it is not clear from the context.
