I apologie for the "foul", maybe "crazy" is better? Is there a "polite" word to say that?
I didn't say that in a negative way, since I offered my help next...  ;D

Oh, I liked foul! :)

I have this romantic image in my head of being a classic Hollywood movie villain  8) . . . (which, pathetically--I am not  :'(  ).

One of my favorite lines ever is in "The Fifth Element" when Priest Vito Cornelius (Ian Holm) says, "You're a monster, Zorg." and Gary Oldman, quietly, almost apologetically replies, "I know."
2022 update: Working on the new astrology book. "How to read tarot" books are on Amazon, if you are into that sort of thing.
Okay, so the old podcast is here: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/radioavatar It was goofy fun that ended too soon, but we had creative people. I hope we can get a new gang together (interested? PM me, let's make some magic!)
(Very old, outdated) Na'vi FUN activity book is here: But what are you doing? Let me know! :)

Awesome idea guys ;D you've definitely got another listener here. I think it might be an idea if you set up an e-mail address and then have the listeners write in with topics for discussion
join our real life tribe! here(And yes, it will be a real tribe in the real world, not a role play tribe)

Yeah, I think that is an excellent idea. I have registered both NaviPodcast.com and RadioAvatar.com, but I want it set up so they feed people to LN.org, but take some of the traffic strain off (bandwidth and all), so Seabass doesn't get hammered by his hosting company. I will have to see what works best for everyone here.

I squealed giddily when I first learned you were doing a podcast.

Suggestion:  If there's room in the show, have an LN Forum member of the Day with a live spotlight interview with the person in question, perhaps include the person in some of the show's segments.

I like that suggestion (mmmcookie!) and we are planning on inviting LN members in for interviews.

What I had was "Now good children we teachings learn (for the sake of) word? say (big-long-word)"

It's gonna take a lot more than knowing what words mean to understand what people say. And THAT is depressing. I see no way around it--and that is a motivation killer to new students. Suddenly, the last place I want to be is at a con where people are speaking Na'vi. I just won't get it. Perhaps I should study French instead. Chicks like French--right?

A podcast is a fantastic idea! I know that I'm struggling with pronunciations as well as word order.. I learn sooo much better when I can hear it. You've got another listener! Irayo!

Hey, heres another thought. In the Na'vi tribe thread, we are considering a podcast for spreading the word and to update the People on how far along we are and what decisions were made. Maybe you could toss that in there as well.

OMG what happened to me? everything looks so different? The forums just changed around on me. I think I screwed up somehow. Anyway, thanks. Let me find this.. you will like it:

This is some crazy stuff. It is an "audio dictionary" I think. It is a PDF (hosted on Google docs) and you can click the little blue boxes and hear the words. It's like magic or something. My brain hurts thinking about it:

http://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://content.learnnavi.org/taronyu/NaviDictionarySoundhu.pdf

And you can read about it here:

http://forum.learnnavi.org/your-projects-other-resources/the-audio-dictionary/

I assume it is good. It impressed me, but then so does a shiny--hey! what's that over there?

Read the dictionary, and fudge it, someone will be along to tell you you are wrong, and then they will eventually get corrected.  LOL

Three words:

HOST A PODCAST!

Discuss your ideas, get the word out. I registered radioavatar.com and navipodcast.com. I haven't done anything with them yet. Once you have a podcast I can set up the sites to mention your podcast(s) to help you get some traction with google. Also, you will want to get yourself listed in ever directory possible. Let me know how I can help.

...... On topic!

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this podcast, do we have an ETA for the first episode yet? Do you have some kind of a structured setup that your just going to plug segments into? I'll give an example of what i mean by structured:

Our radio show (Solar Broadcast United) follow this template every week:

00:00 - (5:00/7:00): Intro track, track 1
Intro song and intro message to the show. Name of the intro, and next 3/4 tracks were playing.

(5:00/7:00) - (20:00/25:00) Ramp up the energy, Track 2 - 4/5
A ramp up in speed/energy of the tracks, flowing from our intro, every week has a theme for the songs we play, we name the next two tracks to be played next while we mix out of the last track in that block.

(20:00/25:00) - (30:00/35:00) Set the mood; last track of previous block - Next 2
Play those two tracks, which setup the tempo and feel for the spotlight artist

(30:00/35:00) - (50:00 - 54:00) Spotlight artist
Announce spotlight artist, and the tracks of his/hers/theirs we will be playing. Using quality tracks from the spotlight artist, we mix them to expose people to a good selection of someone who has done well in the community of Dance/Trance/Progressive (EDM) music.

(50:00 - 54:00) - 60:00 Outro/Classic track
Outro message, thanks, etc, name our classic track of the week, and let that play till the end.

Its as structured as it can be considering we have to work with tracks between 6-10 minutes in length. It may be hard for you to fill a full hour timeslot each week with Na'vi related info. Perhaps not at first, but eventually you will catch up with events in the community, and you could have trouble filling it then. Were you thinking a weekly or bi-weekly podcast? whenever its done? :P Anyways, im gonna cut this wall of text here.
