Bad news :( (well, not that bad )

Well, I'm sure some of you have noticed I've been completely absent lately. I promise you its NOT because I've lost interest. Everyday there's something out there that reminds me how much we need to really make this dream a reality. However, my iPod (which is currently my only way to get online on a regular basis) has gone missing

I hope to have this resolved sooner than later but have no real time line.

Again, I PROMISE I'm JUST as committed as ever!! I'll be back!

Irayo ma tsmukan! Well I haven't had any luck with the iPod. I'm at my parents right now with my computer trying to work out whats wrong with my computers connection. We'll see how it goes down.

[UPDATE] Blech!! Got my computer temporarily connected to the internet and WHAM!! Assaulted by spyware. I got my work cut out before this thing is internet ready.

Install Linux? If you don't mind no Windows software Linux is good. If you don't know what you're doing Ubuntu is great, it does almost everything for you and there's plenty of free software out there.
If you just want to get a connection in a hurry, try running from a live CD or USB drive, it'll work without installing over the old system.
Linux has fairly few viruses, so hopefully it could avoid that problem.

My advice? Open window, throw computer out window.

I can guarantee it will vastly improve your state of mind at small detriment to any neighbours in the immediate vicinity, such was my experience.

Edit: Although, it does help to have a computer/phone in reserve...now I think about it.

(I found out flash runs better on Windows than Linux in my case)

Anyways, what I always do is get antivirus installed via USB and then hook up internet...

Lol. While I plan on being here daily again, I won't be on too long and probably won't be contributing much... yet. I need to get "reacclimatized" not just with the project but with a few other things too.

It's nice to FINALLY (after roughly a year) to be over the "internet" hurdle though!!
