Put up a progress bar when we know how much is needed for supplies and property and then have a donate button next to it linked to the paypal account for the learnnavi forum tribe.
What do you guys think of that?

I would love to contribute, but as you all know I am a minor, out of work, and have no money. It will take me the 4 years until the thing is set up and running to get any amount of cash, full stop and even then I may have to finish a degree for my parents sake. After that though....XD

This is an excellent idea. How would we make the progress bar? Assuming we already have the goal set...

Hi there - the question was better suited for a PM, so I took the liberty of writing you personally

LearnNavi is still trying to support itself (web-costs, etc), so I don't really foresee a donation button for the tribe. I've brought it up with the other moderators and admins, and I'll get back to you when I have an update

I still think that we should handle the donation things ourselves. However, if we buy some of the LearnNavi.org stuff (Which I was gonna do either way) then that would be totally helpful. And I think I have an idea for something we can use to raise money, but I have to check it out first ^_^;;

No, what I mean is separating the Tribe from the site altogether. Well, we'd still be here on the forum, but I am thinking about maybe putting up our own site, eventually, and becoming like a sister site to this one ^_^ I think that would be pretty nice- that way, we could organize ourselves a bit easier. But not yet, I personally am too busy to set up a website at the moment ^_^;;; Does all of that make sense, or is my fever destroying my reason? XD

Alright, I just read this whole thread::
First off, my mom is a website designer, and I could easily set up a site for us.
Secondly, I think that we should have some kind of product we can make, and sell it that way. I know in Maryland there is a lot of farmer's markets, and if we work on things to sell within the tribe [once we're set up] then even in the summer camps we could make a bit of a profit, or just enough to cover any bills or needs.
Of course this requires that we, you know, have some skills in making something, or maybe just seliing meat or something. Maybe fish? Iunno, just brainstorming.
For me, I'm pretty good and fast at making those wide friendship bracelet things-- the ones wide enough to put patterns and stripes and stuffs. I make them all the time. I could easily start selling those on etsy or whatever. I'm also gonna work on getting my art work a bit up there so people will buy prints and such, like off of Deviant Art.

As for who should hold the bank account, for right now, no one. I think we should all get a jar, and put some change or something in it. Like, for me, every week I dump all the change into a jar. Last year it was over 60 dollars. I know that doesn't seem like much from a year, but that's just like dimes and stuff that I either found or had from buying stuff with cash. Which I don't think is too shabby.

When it gets closer to setting up a perm or trial camp, yes, I think that the Eyktan should hold the money, since he will be making the transaction.

Frommer or Cameron might like the idea :] Maybe they'll even want to get involved!! I bet having a whole bunch of people speaking his language would make Frommer <3 us. ^^ Let's hope, right?!

In conclusion: If you guys want a site, I will make it [or collab with someone else to make it]. Then, we can have some awesome shirts and gear of our own!
