Bamboo seems to work. My instructor in bowmaking also makes arrows from bamboo (actually that is the name of his website - "bamboo arrows"). http://www.bambuspfeile.de/index.html - He has a lot of experience, but as he normally uses other woods for arrows, I guess they are in some ways better or maybe just more beautiful. If I meet him again for another lesson, I can ask him. May take a while as I still have not finished my second bow and that I want to do before I go to him again or he'll be disappointed with me ;)

A seperate thread on fletchery would be interesting.
I will just give some advice here and not participate in polls as I am involved with development of a sister clan of this one here which was founded independently. I believe however, we are one clan and we should stick together!

I know this hasn't been posted in a while, but Wal-Mart sells bamboo. You have to grow it yourself, though. I think I might get some and grow my own arrows.

Fletching is one thing (besides being avatar obsessed and guitar) that i am good at.
It has various ways to be done but can be learned after about a year of practices
Of course it depends on how you learn, took 3 months for me to make first semi reliable bow/arrows and have made
3 more since, i still ain't the best but i working on it.

Question: can anyone teach me how to astral project? You don't have to reply the this post if it makes you uncomfortable. You can PM me instead. Or reply. Whatever works best.
