Heck yes!

After three weeks on the dreaded higher education ladder, my place at a London university has been secured. You know what that means...my exile is at an end! This means I can once again devote 100% of my time to this project.

Of course, I have not been exactly idle during my time away...

I have made good friends with the directors of Nature Philosophy, a wilderness preservation group operating out of Australia. They have listened to our plans and ideas, and they are willing to offer full support for us - be it in regards to location or training for our members. They even offered, once we have set up successfully, to send out instructors to our location to help us get settled in! It is good to make friends in high places - if anyone is down in Australia in the future, pop in on them - tell them I sent you!

In short, I apologise for my absence. A long time ago I was made a moderator on this board, and despite my lacking abilities in admin and web design, I hoped to guide us in the right direction. I hope that I have not disappointed or offended our members with my absence - I know first hand how annoying it is to have moderators who do nothing at all...

So. I shall check out all the work that has taken place, and get my comments rolling again.

Don;t give up the dream!

Is this project already dead? I started posting and attempting to participate, but have seen almost no activity since then.  :(

It's just a bit slow I think...

I'm still here (or back, since I was without internet for two weeks).
But how to motivate a rise in activity? ???
I know that when I began talking about Hawaii a couple of months ago, activity skyrocketed, but whether that was related I don't know.

Tonbogiri, you beast. It's good to have you back.  :P

Probably the lack of clear news about the advancement of the project, especially about the reliable locations that can be explored.

It is normal for such a big project to take some time. But I think that making a sort of point about the advancement of this step is required to keep attention of all those you are and were interested in this.

If there is no discussion continuing, well it will slowly die. Which I do not want because this project does have some credibility. And once a restricted amount of locations are chosen, then the step of finding a place is more easy to complete.

The other steps (examining land resources, financing, relearning of the required skills, etc.) are next important steps that will certainly be more interesting, rendering more activity.

I'm ready to search or help, but I'd like to know what to do actually. And in the absence of activity, such a position is a little frustrating.  ;)

You could look up child welfare laws in the countries discussed. ;)
That is the part I've had most trouble finding info about.

I am going to search about this. I'll start for Hawaii (US) and Argentina, as I have read those are the two currently retained (since I had no answer about the location I suggested). If there are other good locations you want me to look for, feel free to tell me.  ;)

I am having a lot of difficulty finding clear information about this. Apparently, there are clear laws in the US, same for France but with extra public service, and I have found no information for Argentina. I will post more detailed information as soon as I am able to find better explanations.

Anyway, I though there would be nothing related to child stuff at least the first years and while relearning the necessary habits.
