Personal thoughts for tribe

Hey guys, whats up? these are just some of my personal thoughts on the current problems for the tribe.
please gimme feedback on what you think.
These do not issue what has already been decided unless its totally obiouse due to not enough time for it so...
For 1, I know it has been coming up a lot lately is pets:
I think the rule for pets should be that a few hunting/gathering animals (german shepards, golden retreviers ext...) should be aloud not as pets, but as tribe members. They are alive aswell.
Supplies should be mostly basic:
Most modern medicine for common illnessess
A good way to find bow is get most trained fletchers to make a bow and give high pressure training.
Knives should be stuck to a low size, 2-8 in blade.
Food and water to start us up.
1 large vehicle to get major injured to hospital fast and safe
A radio for comunication
JOBS
For every 50 people in permenent tribe, jobs should consist of:

2 minor injury medics/doctors
10 hunters/fishermen
10 construction (give or take at begining.)
2 Item holders to hold on to hunting weapons and gear(must be responsable to ensure weapons such as bows and knives don't get out to wrong people)
6 - 12 farmers
4 goverment

I'm pertty sure that we already decided that there would be no guns in the tribe. As for gas powered vehicles, I don't know if atvs were decided on already but I know we'll have a UH-1 Huey as an emergency transport vehicle.

I think that one of the only pieces of tech in the tribe will be a short-range radio, for quick contact with the eco-village.

umm sorta agree about that but maybe we should just say no animals to start with, cause then we dont have the risk of losing them or them dying

The last I heard we werent having set jobs for people, it makes it too much like a Rp tribe, everybody has to chip in and do there part, then when we are set up people can (sorta specialise) into what they want.

you have to always keep in mind (this goes for everybody) that we have 4 or more years to plan this and get it right! we dont have teh recources or a location yet so please stop posting things like this and concentrate more on where we are gonna have the tribe, otherwise there will be no tribe for you guys to go to !

Yeah, we are, and it's going to be at the eco-village, not the tribe.

What's the difference between an eco-villiage and a tribe?

Sayprìsä the tribe is for people (i personally call them hardcores) who want to get totally away from modern society and lead a life as hunter gatherers away from technology. the eco-village is for the people who want to live more greenly and have some elements of hunter gathering but do not want to give up technology.

that is the basic difference between them (in terms of teh people going)

I think that what we really need to do is go through the every single thread on this board and summarise them, then post this summary on a sticky or even give it its own subsection so that people don't miss it, this will stop new people who don't want to spend the time reading our threads asking the same questions again and it will allow everyone to keep a tab on where we stand with everything. This would be a colossal job that is going to eat all of someone's free time but one that I think will help in the long run, after this has been fully compiled we only have to keep it up to date. I think if we could change the archives to say, archives and summary, then sticky a link to the summary on the main board, that would be the best way to do it. Then we have like a kind of tribe archive, we would just need to appoint someone to keep track of the threads and update them. *waves and offers to do this job myself *

I wouldn't mind doing this too, two people would probably be better than one.

I wouldn't mind helping you guys out with data compilation. If there is a wiki, perfect place to put the info, if there isn't, we should get one (I could host it if need be). Feel free to PM me if you guys need help with it and/or a place to put the info.

Well for now I am still awaiting for mod approval for the idea, I don't think we should have to many people working on this though as that will create confusion For now I think we just have to sit back and wait for one of the mods to post their opinion of it. I will send a PM to each of them about the idea now.
