I absolutely, 100% love this idea and if I wasn't a 16 year old with a big career goal ahead of me I would pack up my longbow and blanket right now and trek out to meet you all.

As it stands, I cannot.  I have too much that is holding me to this horrible world of the present.  However, if this is still a go in a few years I may stop by, or be one of those nomadic people who come and live with you for one month a year.

Either way, I would be more then willing to help you with anything you need, be it ideas or gear, anything at all don't hesitate to ask!

They say they can't join because of their future plans but can help in other ways.

Wow, that takes patience, something I don't have.

My uncle's dog came over a little less than one week ago. I stupidly left the computer plug on the floor. That night, his dog chewed it up. So, the next morning, I go looking for the plug and I find a chewed up piece of metal. I sadly cannot purchase a new plug right now, and my computer's battery is out. I'm at my public library.

Also, I discovered this promising "small business" film company called Mirror Entertainment. It looks really promising: http://www.mirrorente

Lol thank you.  Unfortunately that doesn't leave me a lot of time to run away and become Na'vi...

The job is very rewarding, fun, and pays well. Which, in the end, in my opinion, is more important than Na'vi. That is my take on it (goodbye forum popularity  :( )

I guess.  Even though I'm probably gonna end up a college professor... It'll work out in the end though...Ideally I'd like to do something where I just run away for one month a year and become Na'vi or something like that you know?  Cuz I have a BF who I don't think would come with me and I want to adopt and all that...

we all ahve dreams we are giving up to do this

sacrifices prove that your are commited, like iv been told by all my teachers i have a promising career as an actor but im not gonna do that cause of teh tribe

Well at least acting is something you can sorta skip around.  If you're truly good you can re-pick it up any time.

I am terrible sorry for your losses and I hope your life looks up.

I have a question.  Would we be wearing store bought clothes or furs that we hunted?
"You have a gift, Jack.  You do.  You see people."

sezawte

More likely after we'd got set up stuff we hunted, after all there's probably not going to be too many clothes shops around
join our real life tribe! here(And yes, it will be a real tribe in the real world, not a role play tribe)

Haha, most likely not. :P

Like sezawte said, it'd be clothes we have at first, then clothes we make. Though everyone should keep a couple pairs of normal clothes for if/when they visit family.

I attempted to read everything but I have a headache and there's a lot  :( a lot of information. *wipes brow* also very confusing to read as things seem to be a little chaotic?

Anyway, as the subject of the eco village kept being brought up in random places, wouldn't it possibly be easier to just live in a current eco village? for those who want to? Instead of finding the money and funds and whatever to build a new one?

I like the idea of wearing clothes we make but keeping a few 'normal clothes' hidden in the back ;)

Some of us may have sewing abbilities (I do at least) so we can be sure to keep around a bunch of needles and what not for making them.

Ikranä mokri

Like i Have said before, to start with lightweight trousers and then move onto somethign more tribal once we have it se up and teh facilitites and skills to make out own clothes
