I took a course of computers last year, completely forgot what flame/troll meant.

The old Uriuujìn

Troll-someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

Flaming (also known as bashing) is hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users.

^_^ Posting into the rules now

what christians have made christianity isn't true to the teachings of jesus. and you should tread lightly or the ones on this forum might come and burn us. :D

Flame war!

Burn the heretics!

Haha, just kidding.

But to tell you your sentence from the perspective of a Christian; Christianity is more true to the Bible, because we believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and the Jews just think he was a prophet.

Also, from the perspective of the Protestants: Catholicism is a business, not a religion.

I didn't mean to generalize Christians i tend to get pissed when people generalize, myself :D. What i should have said is there are a few Christians who have misinterpreted the bible accidentally or otherwise and a lot of these mistakes have found their way into the belief system of select few unaccepting groups that have created a negative paradigm of Christianity.

Some Christians live very close to the true teachings of Jesus while others blindly listen to what their respective pastor/priests say about what they should do. It's generally a bad thing to leave your religious belief system to another man/woman. Reading the bible i have found it to be chock-full of Buddhist teachings retold in a western style and hidden behind myth and allegory. Again, my personal opinion not trying to start a riot in the thread.

I love talking about beliefs!!! ;D I'm so happy I've found a place I can do it without everyone ripping each-other's throats out

I don't think that we should be talking in "facts", because that's bound to piss someone off. Rather, tell it as your opinion.

For example;

QuoteReading the bible i have found it to be chock-full of Buddhist teachings retold in a western style and hidden behind myth and allegory.

How do you know that those Buddhist teachings aren't based on the bible? ;) Or, that they are simply shared between the religions?

It would have been better if you phrased it as an opinion, not a fact.

Just a note for the future.

my religion is christian but still i dont believe in god.... and i dont think that jesus is a superhero like the other christians think. i made my own beliefs in jesus and i just dont want to share it because everyone should be free to think what he she wants. but i think to group the people into their religions is wrong. so no religion at all, you may now think would be great, would mean death to all humans...

without beliefs you dont have a reason to live so think what you want and dont group others or yourself.

That's why i ended the whole spiel with "Again, my personal opinion not trying to start a riot in the thread."
And i know that Buddhist teachings aren't based on the bible considering it came into existence about 400 years before Christ was even born. And the point is that they are shared between religions.

I voted panthiesm, but I figured gaiaism and panthiesm overlap and are very similar so it was hard for me to choose. I don't know much but from what I've heard think panthiesm is more similar to paganism with it's rituals and celebrations and focus on the universe as well as the planet Earth whereas gaia spirituality is a belief about the Earth itself.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I have always believed in pantheism but just never knew there was a name for it until recently. During this time I've practised Paganism, Wicca and Kemetic orthodoxy (Egyptian paganism). All of these religions speak to me in some way shape or form but I'm not good at sticking to celebrations and rituals so I don't tend say I'm religious or really consider it unless I need go into my religious views because to me it's just a logical way of thinking.
