It's wonderful to see so many people of different religions talking so harmoniously :)

I chose other since my religion wasn't there. I follow Shinto in a very basic way, paying respects to the spirits of nature or kami, particularly the resident kami of where I live.

I enjoy reading/hearing about everyone else's religious views  :)
Yom yom yom...

Here is something interesting
http://beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html

it shows what religion you should be try it as if you had amnetia and want to know what to belive

I got:

1.  Mahayana Buddhism
2.  Theravada Buddhism
3. neo- paganism
4.  Taoism
5.  Liberal Quakers
6.  Jainism
7.  Hinduism
8.  Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants
9.  Orthodox Quaker
10.  Sikhism
11.  Baha'i Faith

took out the ones I did not agree with so had to remove percents so it makes sense and all below 11 were too low

As it showing, Christian is the main leading religion, None and Other coming in tied for 2nd, and Athiesm coming in 3rd. Wow, that's a funny lineup.

Txon Taronyu

and buddism in 4th ya that is interesting I wonder what all the others are

Txon Taronyu

Well that is your personal opinion

but I went through one day and made a list of whether I wanted to belive in a god or not and I found I prefer beliving in a god

Not me. I never understood religion or the existence of gods. Honestly, I just think that you die, you die. You can see black or experience reincarnation.

At the end of the day nobody knows for sure what happens when you die, thus no-one can say for sure that god/s exist/s and equally nobody can say that they don't. Thus if there is no certain answer you must simply accept that there are numerous possibilities and that any of them could be right. Equally they could all be wrong but no-one knows so you can't say he doesn't. I don't think people should be offended by this

as he said that is what he feels. This is not dealing in absolutes just giving an opinion. Therefore we just have to accpet that not everyone believes the same things and deal with it. If you can't then you are the ones that have a problem.

I wan't directing my comment at anyone, I was just making a general comment, with such a small group of people it will be important that everyone involved can accept each others beliefs. I have no problem with people's beliefs, it is the select few (no-one I know on here) that say that there beliefs are the final truth and that anyone who doesn't follow them is wrong. Personaly I have no religious beliefs, I have a personal philosophy but I do not say that a god does or does not exist, only that I do not know. I apologise 'Itan Atxur if it seemed i was having a go at you in particular, I was not meaning to.
