That reminds me of summercamp about 5 years ago.
We made bows and arrows and swords and stuff all made out of wood :P
It was a great forest, and a damn nice experience ;D

I'm gonna give the Indonesian bow some research. Closest I can get to a traditional wooden bow.

I don't mean to be a jerk but we are very off topic here and there are multiple archery and bow making topics on this board.

After i told to my parent i saw the move 22 time and my dad said "son i am disappointed" and my mother as yelling to me YOU SPEND A WEEK OF SALARY. I think to telling i am leaving for a longtime in a far far country to live with the nature gonna be a very huge psychological shock for them. But sometime lie is the best way to avoid problem. If i say i will go for a long trip into the jungle with friend for an exploration, that excuse will pass :D

Esmond

Right, sorry 'Itan. I think my parents would understand. As long as it doesn't degrade me like taking drugs or getting involve in crime or whatever negative activities, I'll have a good reason to do it. Plus, doing this has its benefits.

Yea...So I got kinda upset at my mom yesterday and told her in a 'joking matter'.  She always asks if I really want to go to college and I always say yes and yesterday I told her something like 'No, I've decided to go join a bunch of people and live in the wildlands up norht and pretend to be na'vi' and she just looked at me like I was retarted...

Swokéyan

Lol, yeah parents dont understand... or they think you are joking at first.

It was kinda awkward too, right after cuz my BF was there and he's the only person i'v told about this and I don't think he really thinks I'm serious either so the look on his face was kinda priceless too :D

Esmond

I haven't told anyone about this. I don't think they can accept it yet.

Not mean, just honest. I am tired of my parents holding me back and I will be taking the decision of my own, advancing in my own life.
