I really like the drawing style. I think it fits with the papyrus font and give a good hand-drawn/ink look to the image.

I'd love to see a draft of bagget00 idea. I think it could be even better than a picture of a tree as it really depict the human and cultural side of the tribe.

Oh wait, he meant a palm print. I misunderstood. I thought he meant draw with long fingers lol. Lemme see if I incorporate that into this. Thanks for the constructive feedbacks!!! :)

Really nice !! I think it represents the tribe's mind ! For the first draft, it's very beautiful :)
'Itan Atxur : Just remember, NO idea is too crazy <3

Then everything changed ... I fell in love. I fell in love with the - with the forest, with the Omaticaya people... with you...
Don't thank! You don't thank for this! This is sad... VERY sad only!

Ikranä mokri

I have to admit it does look a little bit like a mushroom cloud lol

I also like the idea of a hawk's shadow... Just a suggestion, it came to me just now ^_^

I like it, but not that you've mentioned it, I can't help but see the mushroom cloud. :P

I think a simple symbol might be better.

I agree but not a hawk, this is like an eagle more a symbol of strength.

We should focus to the world we live in and we trying to protect, maybe something (painted) like this:

But as stated before we have plenty of time for this ;)

I think we want people to think we're a Nature-loving tribe as opposed to a somewhat aggressive, hostile tribe. I can work on something like that picture though I'm thinking how to convert it into a symbol.

Mushroom cloud resemblance noted. XD

So so far, we want it to reflect the mixture of Na'vi & Human culture (palm print), reflect our love for Nature (tree), the protection of our world (hand holding globe) and the eagle (I dunno why lol). We need a bigger mirror. That's a lot to reflect.

Hello Na'vi :)

I saw this today (see image below) and thought of you. Sorry to interrupt your symbol discussion but I found this highly inspirational. Note carefully how one stem blooms many flowers, each equally beautiful. Two have yet to bloom, indicating that the young are maturing (e.g. "more are on their way"). This is a real flower--not Photoshopped or CGI'ed. It is about as egalitarian as nature gets.

I thought it might make a nice reminder, if not actual symbol, of what your journey intends.

okaybyenow :)
2022 update: Working on the new astrology book. "How to read tarot" books are on Amazon, if you are into that sort of thing.
Okay, so the old podcast is here: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/radioavatar It was goofy fun that ended too soon, but we had creative people. I hope we can get a new gang together (interested? PM me, let's make some magic!)
(Very old, outdated) Na'vi FUN activity book is here: But what are you doing? Let me know! :)

Hawnu UnilTxep

I agree with Uriuujin.  This is a good idea.

Did anyone think of something a bit more tribal?? Like, the shapeshifter symbol from the New Moon movie.
And, I guess I can see the mushroom cloud... I was thinking more of an ice cream cone, lol.

Anyway, I like the idea of the actual symbol being a circle.  That automatically makes me think of us being one and our Gaia.  I would def want a tat of the finished product, that's for sure.

Please PM me if you are still interested in the real Na'vi tribe.

I agree with you Hawnu UnilTxep on pretty much all other than this

Quotelike, the shapeshifter symbol from the New Moon movie
*hiss* for this very quote you should be killed slowly and painfully

I dislike it intensely also, but I am gonna give you a bit of a warning ^_^;; Please try not to dictate others on what they can/cannot say on this board... that's my Job ^_^;;; Don't be too upset about it, just make sure it doesn't get too heated

Haha, lovely comment (very similar to things I use all the time around here).

I feel that we could do with something a bit more "tribal-ish" (pretty much what Hawnu UnilTxep and Ikranä mokri are saying)

Predict

I think a good approach would be to imitate (to an extent) the art of real tribal societies, that'd help get the tribal-ish feel. I'm thinking like dot painting or sprayed silhouettes, but that's just what I know of, we wouldn't want anything immediately recognisable.

Draft 2

Okay, the symbol revolves around a Wawa tree seed, which symbolises our perseverance in what we do (to protect and preserve Nature). The four connected circles represent the four elements of Nature (Fire, Water, Earth and Air) connected in a geometric, balanced way. As for the dots on both sides, it is to represent us humans (five dots) and the Na'vi (four dots).

Well, more or less it is like that. We could build on this and make improvements though.

Help preserve Nature.

Hmm sounds/looks interesting ;D

OKAY... so i know most people hate twilight, but give it a chance, yeesh.
And look at the symbol [which is what I was referring to]:

Now, the Quileute tribe is all about wolves, so that's naturally in there [but can you see it? ;] ]
I was just saying I like the IDEA. [and yeah, I'm a big fan of twilight, too ;] I do not discriminate with great works of art and fiction like this!! I agree the movies suck for the most part, but the books themselves are pageturners.]
