NASA, ULA Launch Mission to Track Earth's Changing Ice

NASA’s Ice, Cloud and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) successfully launched from California at 9:02 a.m. EDT Saturday, embarking on its mission to measure the ice of Earth’s frozen reaches with unprecedented accuracy.

ICESat-2 lifted off from Space Launch Complex-2 at Vandenberg Air Force Base on United Launch Alliance’s final Delta II rocket. Ground stations in Svalbard, Norway, acquired signals from the spacecraft about 75 minutes after launch. It’s performing as expected and orbiting the globe, from pole to pole, at 17,069 mph from an average altitude of 290 miles.

“With this mission we continue humankind’s exploration of the remote polar regions of our planet and advance our understanding of how ongoing changes of Earth’s ice cover at the poles and elsewhere will affect lives around the world, now and in the future,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate.

but for me if I see any word longer then like 7 letters my eyes go super wide.  Like I don't even know how to start pronouncing that cohesively.  Like "kefpomtokxnga’"  and then you start adding like pre and suffixes and everything just gets so O.O I can't even...
And what about "Meoauniaea" ;D (my favourite word ;D )

I can't think of any specific words, probably because my knowledge is super limited, but for me if I see any word longer then like 7 letters my eyes go super wide.  Like I don't even know how to start pronouncing that cohesively.  Like "kefpomtokxnga’"  and then you start adding like pre and suffixes and everything just gets so O.O I can't even...

But oh damn, you give me anything with rr and I'm a happy camper.  I'll roll dem rs all day long! :D krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lessgo

I miss going barefoot.  I posted on this thread way back when, I used to go barefoot all day every day.  That stopped when I had to get a real job and not just go to school anymore.  I miss it :(

Just a small update:
- I finally was able to walk barefoot on water. Not literally. Wet skin gets softer but since last season I can withstand concrete sidewalk with that softer version of my soles.
- This season I started riding bike barefoot. It's not as scary as I though, but significantly chiller than with flip-flops.

Now I search for blue, waterproof skin paint. Why? For cosplay reason, because I can't find blue VFF.

Hmmm, I must have done that when we didn’t have a word for dust yet … I chose ìlva back then and I think I was never really satisfied with it because I couldn’t get it to a singable version.

oeri menarir tstu si / menari lu tstu
swaw a’aw nì’aw
ulte holum tsaswaw
ayunil nìwotx
ftem eo menari oey fa tìnomum
ìlva a mì hufwe
sa’u lu ìlva a mì hufwe

spuwin sì teng a way / spuwina way ateng
payìva zup nemfa
luke txew a txampay
frakem a kem si awnga
zup ne kllte hufwa
awnga stero tsive’a
ìlva a mì hufwe
awnga lu ìlva a mì hufwe

ftang vivar
nìtut ke’u ke ’ì’awn
kllte sì tawmungwrr
tsaw ftem nìwin
fra’uri ke kayanom
ngal lahea swawit

ìlva a mì hufwe
awnga lu ìlva a mì hufwe
fra’u lu ìlva a mì hufwe
ìlva a mì hufwe

spuwin is also wrong by now, I think. Should be lal.
I liked the sound of ìlva a mì hufwe, though. Ending in hufwe is better for singing than …, I think.  :-\
