Idea for roleplaying game
« on: February 28, 2010, 11:17:40 pm »
I had this idea for a place we could roleplay.

There is a game called MTA San Andreas. Or Multi Theft Auto San Andreas. It's a open source mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The special thing about the mod is that it allows you to have multiplayer with up to like 200 players. It is really popular with roleplaying servers.

I was thinking, as this game allows for easy modification, we could have na'vi roleplay here. You could have model modifications so you look like Jake or whatever or any Na'vi and we could have weapon modfiication and vehicle modifications for horses..

It'd be a lot of work but would be a great fun roleplay thing. Thoughts?

Website:
http://www.mtasa.com

Here's an example teaser for one server:

An example of how people can map their own things:

Another example, with a bunch of custom made things:

Thoughts? :D
I've been roleplaying using SA-MP (similar to MTA but MTA is better) and MTA for about 3 years now. This would be a super awesome project if we got it working.. would be the most badass thing ever!

How about Second Life? There's already hundreds of Na'vis there.
