Awesome! :D I liked this a lot!  :D and number three makes me think....the earth is slowing down, but we move faster. As in, we continue reproducing and the earth is way more populated than it was years ago...then earth will be slower and fuller...

I'm taking astronomy right now, so this was really interesting. Now I'm tempted to show this to my professor...
2010 was the year of the Na'vi.Vivar 'ivong Na'vi!

I guess I already did know everything except for one or two facts... :D
Volt, Watt, Ampere, Ohm, ohne mich gibt's keinen Strom!

I knew a lot of them. But not all.

By the way did you know that the universe is actually beige?
Only mostly AWOL.

Apparently, if you take the volume of a cubic light-year in tablespoons, and then line said spoons end to end, you'd have enough to stretch across the visible universe a ~trillion times for every dollar in Bill Gate's networth.

Don't ask how I stumbled on that :P

Another thing you didn't know about outer space: all the galaxies are actually spreading out farther from each other from the supposed spot where the Big Bang happened.

Here's another... maybe...

If we had a craft like the one that takes Jake to Pandora, and it really traveled that fast, it would actually explode upon impact with a single speck of dust.

Ma eyamsiyu, IIRC we don't know the method of propulsion the venture star uses, if it used a Bussard Ramjet then its collection fields could protect it. Or you can go down the star trek route and install a deflector dish to protect it.

The only other solution is that of pushing around huge lumps of ablative armour or ice which is probably the easiest but least efficient solution.

Other interesting fact, even excluding the effect of having been in cryo during the journey to Pandora (and the fact that all the toxins in earth's atmosphere might accelerate aging), when any RDA personnel did return to Earth they would have aged less than the people left on earth.
