I don't think I've ever learned as much in 50 minutes as I did when I watched those episodes. Some of them (I forget which episodes) should be required viewing for all world leaders hrh :P.

Here's a small part of one of the episodes discussing the 4th dimension.

I had to watch one episode in Astronomy class this past fall. I forget which one though :(

Quite a few of them are available in full on Hulu.

Please tell me if you see mistakes in a Na'vi post of mine. It's the only way I'll learn. :P

This used to be my favorite episode :) I like them all too much now to pick a favorite. I really like how he doesn't just deal with the stars and physics and stuff. He really covers the entire spectrum.

I have always been a big astronomy enthusiast, so yes, I am well familiar with the series.

My favorite one, however has always been the last one, "Who Speaks for Earth?", in which he discusses the possible futures of humanity.

There would be no more big questions, no more answers.  Never again a love or a child; no descendents to remember us and be proud; no more voyages to the stars, no more songs from the earth.

*sigh*  I'm not very optimistic either.
