I stargazed last night but didn't observe a lot of things.

Nova Cassiopeiae 2021 is still there and its brightness seems to not have changed.

Objects that I observed: Double cluster, M10, M11, M53, Stock 2
I also saw Saturn and Titan (very low in the sky)

Txantsan!

Yeah, Nova Cassiopeiae 2021 is still same bright, I observed it too at previous nights.

Vawmataw

Since you work for an observatory, you should collect data about this star. hrh

And I actually doing that. This nova is one of our main targets right now.

Vawmataw

Txantsan! :D Is the distance to this star measurable?

Yeah, it's possible to measure approx. distance of novae, seems that (from current data of brightness) this star should be certainly closer than 30000 ly.

Vawmataw

Interesting, that's really far!

I have to admit it's my first nova ever

Yeah, absolute magnitude of novae is big so we can see even very far novae.

Nice, congratulations! :)

Good image :)
If you can observe M6 and M7 with their low declination, didn't try observe also M8 Lagoon Nebula? It's quite bright, despite quite low declination.

Vawmataw

No I didn't, probably later this summer because if I remember correctly it's only a small region that is visible and the current declination doesn't help at all.

I would say that M8 should be now observable for you (if sky conditions will be good, of course), if you can see M6 and M7 now.

I observed Nova Cas 2021 and it seems like it has dimmed recently. I remember to have seen it as bright as HIP 115691, now it's almost as faint as HIP 115661. But that just might be me.

I didn't observe a lot of things, especially since there is strong moonlight. Of course I observed the Moon, but also Jupiter, Saturn, Bessel's star, NGC 869/884, M3, M5, M15, M31 and IC 4665

Nice that you could observe something. Good image!

Yeah, Nova Cas 2021 is already less brigh.

Vawmataw

The sky was very cloudy tonight so I only saw the Moon and observed Cor Caroli and Alcor/Mizar. Now it's time for quite a cloudy/rainy weekend.

As you can see, the Moon is hazy.

Good that you could observe at least something, we had storms and super heavy rain hrh

At least we could see some spectacular lightnings hrh

Luckily sky should be clear again in few days.
