A bit of day time astronomy today ;D

Sky was excellent clear today afternoon so it was easy, I observed Mercury, Venus and Arcturus star. Except these I observed also very thin crescent of the Moon and the Sun which is intereting now, a lot of sunspots.

Toliman

Some pictures of sunspots from previous days

M2, M15, M34, M45, M57
NGC 457, NGC 869, NGC 884, NGC 6633, Stock 2
Saturn (Titan), Jupiter (4 moons)

I also observed Nova Cassiopeiae 2021. It's still there after 6 months!

Yeah, Nova Cassiopeiae 2021 is really unique.

I found some time for observation of Orion's nebulae before morning twilight, thanks good conditions it was nice observation :)

Vawmataw

Never a good sign when you can observe the Orion nebula because that means winter is coming. ;) ;D
Already seeing the Pleiades isn't a good sign.

To be honest the sky conditions were nice here, too. The double cluster, the Pleiades and NGC 6633 were like jewel boxes.
Also, it's funny to see the moons of Jupiter evolve. Earlier I could see Io, then 2 hours later it was gone!

You are right although I am always glad when Orion returns back on the night sky... his nebulae are too beautiful ;D

Yeah, it is :)
I like observe transits of moons and his shadows across Jupiter.

Did you tried to observe sunspots too?

That is a pity, the Sun is very interesting to observe at this week.

Good luck!
I observed sunspots again one hour ago, it's still interesting view.

Vawmataw

So I managed to see the sunspots from my bedroom and it's an interesting view. It's just a shame I can't take pictures as the camera cannot take small details.

Sun was interesting in H-alpha today :)

Vawmataw

It looks relatively calm, but it's just a look! hrh

I am curious whether it will be same interesting in next days too.

I observed the Sun this afternoon. It had a good-sized sunspot plus two small ones nearby. My camera captured all three of them.

The sun passed behind the high tension lines and I could notice the rotation of the Earth.

It looks good :)

Tonight I found some time for my own observation. I observed some deepsky in Auriga - clusters (M36-38 + few NGCs) and nebulae (small but bright NGC1931 and bigger but fainter IC405 and IC410). Nebulae were great through nebulae filters, it really can help a lot.

Toliman

I captured sunspots again, there is one interesting group of sunspots right now:
