I found this article today while killing time at college (English canceled for the 11th time)...as soon as I saw it, Pandora came to mind.

A company transplanted the genes that make marine bacteria glow into tobacco plants. As a result, the plants emit faint green light in the dark.

Hey, I've seen those at the Tech Museum in San Jose! If you scrunched yourself up to the window in the exhibit and shaded your eyes, you could see the plants glowing! I don't remember if they were specifically tobacco plants, but they might have been. I just searched the website and I can't find a picture to show you. Maybe they don't have them there anymore. =(
